Charging of laptop via docking station only works if your laptop supports Power Delivery(PD) or Thunderbolt3technology.Check your manual of laptop if it supports one of these two.

HDMI or Display Port connection to show your screen on additional monitor or beamer only works if your laptop supports Display Port Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt technology. Check your manual of laptop if it supports one of these two.

Display port & HDMI: MST(Multi-Stream Transport) support for simultaneous use of two monitors displaying different contents.

Passive Display Port/HDMI™ cables (without chipset / signal converter)must be used for MST. Set the connected monitors to maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD resolution).
