Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the removable pan, roasting rack, and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Assemble: Place the clean removable pan into the roaster oven base. Insert the roasting rack into the removable pan.
- Placement: Position the roaster oven on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit.
- Initial Burn-Off (Recommended): For the first use, it is recommended to operate the empty roaster oven for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to burn off any manufacturing oils. This may produce a slight odor or smoke, which is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated. Allow the unit to cool completely afterward.

- KEEP WARM (150°F): Maintains food at a safe serving temperature without further cooking.
- DEFROST (Approx. 275°F): A unique setting designed to safely defrost frozen items like turkeys before roasting.
- Temperature Range (150°F - 450°F): Select the desired temperature for roasting, baking, or slow cooking. The red indicator light will illuminate when the heating element is active and turn off when the set temperature is reached.
General Cooking Steps
- Prepare your food and place it on the roasting rack within the removable pan.
- Cover the roaster oven with the self-basting lid.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.
- Turn the control knob to your desired temperature setting (e.g., 325°F-450°F for roasting).
- Monitor cooking progress. The self-basting lid will help keep food moist.
- Once cooking is complete, turn the knob to "OFF" and unplug the unit.
- Carefully remove the lid using the cool-touch handle. Use oven mitts to lift the roasting rack with food out of the pan.
Using the Defrost Function
The Defrost setting allows you to safely thaw large frozen items, such as a turkey, directly in the roaster oven. This can significantly reduce thawing time compared to refrigerator thawing.
- Place the frozen item on the roasting rack inside the removable pan.
- Cover with the self-basting lid.
- Turn the control knob to "DEFROST".
- Follow recommended defrosting times based on the weight of the item. Always ensure the item is fully thawed before proceeding to cooking.
- Once thawed, adjust the temperature for cooking or remove the item for further preparation.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Roaster oven does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; control knob not set. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V AC outlet. Turn the control knob to a desired temperature setting (not "OFF"). |
| Food is cooking too slowly or unevenly. | Lid not properly sealed; incorrect temperature setting; too much food. | Ensure the lid is securely placed. Verify the temperature setting. Avoid overfilling the roaster; ensure proper air circulation around food. |
| Smoke or odor during first use. | Manufacturing oils burning off. | This is normal for initial use. Ensure good ventilation. If smoke persists after initial burn-off, discontinue use and contact customer service. |
| Food sticks to the pan. | Insufficient oil/liquid; pan not properly seasoned (if applicable). | Ensure adequate liquid or oil is used. The self-basting lid helps prevent sticking by maintaining moisture. |
