The VEVOR 800W 12V Wind Turbine Generator is designed for efficient power generation with a low startup wind speed of 2.5 m/s. Its 5-blade design enhances wind energy utilization, providing stable output for various applications including homes, farms, RVs, and boats. Equipped with a high-performance MPPT wind controller, this turbine kit achieves over 92% conversion efficiency. It includes integrated overload protection and an IP67 rating for reliable outdoor performance. The wind generator utilizes a three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous generator for stable, efficient power generation and extended lifespan. It is compatible with most energy storage batteries. Constructed with high-strength nylon composite blades, the turbine offers excellent weather resistance and stable outdoor performance, ensuring continuous and reliable power. Features a lightweight, corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum body, a self-adjusting aerodynamic tail fin, and dual bearings to reduce rotational friction for stable power generation.

2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

  • High Voltage Warning: The wind turbine generates electricity. Always disconnect power before performing any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Moving Parts: The turbine blades rotate at high speeds. Keep hands, tools, and loose clothing away from the blades during operation.
  • Proper Grounding: Ensure the wind turbine system is properly grounded according to local electrical codes to prevent electrical shock.

5. Setup and Installation

Careful installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. A mounting pole is not included and must be user-supplied. The recommended pole diameter is 48mm with a thickness greater than 4mm.

5.1 Installation Steps

  1. Prepare Components: Gather the wind turbine, rubber pad, assembly tools (wrenches), screws, nuts, and your user-supplied 48mm diameter tower. Ensure all parts are clean and free from debris.

5.2 Electrical Connections

Connect the wind turbine to the MPPT controller, and then the controller to your battery bank and inverter. Refer to the wiring diagram below. It is recommended that the connection wire between the controller and the battery be less than 1 meter for optimal performance and to minimize voltage drop.

6. Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and connected, the VEVOR wind turbine operates automatically. The MPPT controller optimizes power output from the turbine to efficiently charge your battery bank.

  • The turbine will begin generating power at wind speeds of 2.5 m/s (startup wind speed).
  • The aerodynamic tail fin automatically adjusts the turbine's direction to face the wind, maximizing energy capture.
  • The MPPT controller manages the charging process, preventing overcharging and ensuring stable power delivery to your batteries.
  • The system is compatible with most energy storage batteries, providing flexibility for various setups.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your wind turbine. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.

  • Visual Inspection (Monthly): Check the blades for any cracks, chips, or damage. Inspect the mounting pole, guy wires (if applicable), and all visible connections for signs of wear, corrosion, or looseness.
  • Cleaning (As Needed): Clean the turbine blades and body to remove dirt, dust, or ice buildup. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Electrical Connections (Annually): Verify that all electrical connections, especially at the turbine, controller, and battery, are tight and free from corrosion. Apply dielectric grease if recommended for your climate.
  • Controller Inspection: Ensure the MPPT controller is free from dust and debris, and that its ventilation openings are not obstructed.
  • Bearing Check: Listen for any unusual noises from the turbine head, which could indicate bearing wear. The dual-bearing structure is designed for long-term stable operation.
