1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Raynic CR1031 FM Radio with Bluetooth. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and to prevent damage.

The Raynic CR1031 is a portable FM radio equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, a 2.4-inch color screen, dual alarms, microSD card playback, USB-C charging, and a headphone jack. It supports FM and WB (Weather Band) reception only; AM is not supported.

4. Controls and Display

Familiarize yourself with the radio's buttons, ports, and display for optimal use.

  • Power Button: Turns the radio on/off.
  • Mode Button: Switches between FM, Bluetooth, and MicroSD modes.
  • Volume Knob: Adjusts volume (16 levels) and navigates menus. Press to confirm.
  • Previous/Next Buttons: Skips tracks in Bluetooth/MicroSD mode, fine-tunes frequency in FM mode.
  • Play/Pause Button: Plays or pauses audio.
  • SOS Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to activate emergency siren.
  • WX Alert Button: Activates/deactivates Weather Alert function.
  • Menu Button: Accesses system settings.
  • Preset Button: Accesses saved FM stations.
  • EQ Button: Cycles through sound equalization modes.

4.1. Display Screen

The 2.4-inch color screen provides visual feedback for all functions. It features 3 adjustable brightness levels: Low, Medium, and High.

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Battery

The radio has a built-in 3000mAh rechargeable battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the radio's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the provided power adapter.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  4. The charging indicator on the screen will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

Note: The radio can be used while charging. The battery provides up to 10 hours of microSD music playback at maximum volume or up to 18 hours at 50% volume.

5.2. Initial Power On and Language Setting

  1. Press and hold the Power button to turn on the radio.
  2. Upon first use, you may be prompted to select a language. Use the Volume Knob to scroll and press to select.
  3. To change language later, press the Menu button, navigate to 'Language', and select your preferred language (English, Spanish, French).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. FM Radio Operation

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Press the Mode button until 'FM Radio' is displayed.
  3. Auto Scan: Press and hold the Play/Pause button to automatically scan and save available FM stations. The radio can store up to 40 preset stations.
  4. Manual Tuning: Use the Previous/Next buttons to fine-tune the frequency in 0.1 MHz increments.
  5. Accessing Presets: Press the Preset button, then use the Volume Knob to scroll through saved stations. Press the Volume Knob or wait a few seconds to select.

6.2. Bluetooth Playback

  1. Press the Mode button until 'Bluetooth' is displayed. The radio will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone or Bluetooth device, search for 'Raynic CR1031' and connect.
  3. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the radio.
  4. Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next buttons on the radio to control playback.

6.3. MicroSD Card Playback

  1. Insert a microSD card (up to 32GB, FAT32 format) with audio files into the microSD card slot.
  2. Press the Mode button until 'MicroSD' is displayed. The radio will automatically start playing audio files.
  3. Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next buttons to control playback.
  4. Press the EQ button to cycle through 6 equalization modes: Normal, Pop, Classic, Rock, Jazz, Bass.

6.4. Setting Alarms

The radio supports dual alarms. You can set each alarm to wake you with FM radio or a buzzer.

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Use the Volume Knob to navigate to 'Alarm Settings' and press to select.
  3. Select 'Alarm 1' or 'Alarm 2'.
  4. Set the alarm time, repeat mode (e.g., weekdays, weekends, daily), alarm source (FM or Buzzer), and volume.
  5. Confirm settings by pressing the Volume Knob.

6.5. Clock and Sleep Timer

The radio displays the real-time clock in standby mode.

  • Setting Time: Press the Menu button, navigate to 'Date & Time', and adjust using the Volume Knob.
  • Sleep Timer: Press the Menu button, navigate to 'Sleep Timer', and select a duration. The radio will turn off automatically after the set time.

6.6. Weather Band (WB/WX) and SOS Alert

The radio supports Weather Band reception and includes an SOS emergency alert function.

  • WB/WX Mode: Press the Mode button to cycle to WB/WX mode. Reception depends on local signal coverage.
  • WX Alert: Press the WX Alert button to activate or deactivate weather alerts. The radio will sound an alarm if a weather alert is broadcast.
  • SOS Alert: In an emergency, press and hold the SOS button for 2 seconds to activate a loud emergency siren. Press any button to stop the siren.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the radio regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Water Exposure: This radio is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.

8. Troubleshooting
