6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Inner Bucket

The removable inner bucket can be easily cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before placing it back into the frame.

6.2 Cleaning the Frame and Lid

Wipe the steel frame and ABS lid with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals, which can scratch or damage the surfaces. Dry immediately to prevent water spots or rust.

6.3 Maintaining the Slides

Periodically check the metal slides for any debris or obstructions. If the sliding mechanism becomes less smooth, wipe the rails clean and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant (avoid oil-based lubricants) if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Bin does not slide smoothly:
Solution: Check the metal slides for any dirt, food particles, or obstructions. Clean the slides thoroughly. Ensure the mounting screws are not overtightened, which could cause misalignment.
  • Bin wobbles after installation:
Solution: Verify that all 4 mounting screws are securely tightened to the cabinet floor. Ensure the cabinet floor is flat and stable.
  • Odors are not contained:
Solution: Ensure the lid is properly closed. Clean the inner bucket and lid regularly. Use a suitable bin liner that fits well and is not overfilled.
  • Bin does not fit in cabinet:
Solution: Re-measure your cabinet's interior dimensions (depth, width, height) and compare them against the minimum requirements listed in Section 4.1.
