4.2. Chain and Guide Bar Installation (if not pre-assembled)

  1. Ensure the battery is removed.
  2. Remove the side cover by loosening the tension knob.
  3. Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction.
  4. Position the guide bar onto the chainsaw body, aligning the chain with the guide bar groove.
  5. Replace the side cover and lightly tighten the tension knob.

4.3. Chain Tension Adjustment

This chainsaw features tool-free chain tension adjustment.

  1. With the side cover lightly tightened, rotate the dedicated adjustment knob by hand to adjust the chain tension.

5.2. Cutting Techniques

  • General Cutting: Position the chainsaw with the chain clear of the material. Start the chainsaw, then slowly bring the moving chain into contact with the wood. Let the saw do the work; do not force it.
  • Maximum Cutting Diameter: This chainsaw can smoothly cut logs up to 200mm (approximately 8 inches) in diameter.
  • High-Branch Cutting: For high branches, a dedicated extension pole (sold separately) can be attached. This allows for safe cutting without the need for a ladder. Ensure the extension pole is securely attached and follow its specific instructions.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your chainsaw.

  • Chain Lubrication: The automatic oiling system will continuously lubricate the chain during operation. Regularly check the oil level in the reservoir and refill with appropriate chainsaw bar oil as needed.
  • Chain Tension: Periodically check the chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug but still movable by hand. Adjust using the tool-free knob if necessary.
  • Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and clean the chainsaw. Use a brush or compressed air to remove wood chips, sawdust, and debris from the chain, guide bar, motor housing, and ventilation slots.
  • Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain as needed or replace it with a new one (replacement chain included). The replacement chain specifications are: Pitch 1/4", Gauge .043", Drive Links 46.
  • Storage: Store the chainsaw in its storage case in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Remove the battery before long-term storage.
