Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the AWBLIN Automotive Test Light from its packaging.
- Inspect: Check the tester for any visible damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Prepare for Use: Remove the needle guard from the probe tip. Ensure the spring wire is free from tangles.
- Connect Power: The tester is powered by the circuit it is testing. Connect the alligator clamp to a suitable ground or positive terminal depending on the test.
Operating Instructions
1. Bidirectional Voltage Testing
This tester can identify both positive and negative polarity in a circuit.
- For Positive Polarity: Attach the alligator clamp to a known negative ground point. Connect the probe to the circuit point you wish to test. A red light on the tester indicates a positive voltage.
- For Negative Polarity (Ground): Attach the alligator clamp to a known positive power source. Connect the probe to the circuit point you wish to test. A green light on the tester indicates a negative voltage or ground.

Image: Detailed polarity detection. The red clip connects to the positive battery terminal, and the black clip to the negative. Red light indicates positive, green light with a buzzer indicates negative.
2. Over-Range Warning
The tester is designed for a voltage range of 3-60V DC. If the measured voltage exceeds 60V, the LED screen will display "oL" (Over Limit), and both the red and green lights will flash as a warning.

Image: Over-range warning. The digital display shows "oL" and both red and green LEDs flash when the detected voltage exceeds 60V DC.
3. Various Test Applications
The AWBLIN Test Light can be used for a variety of diagnostic tasks:
- Fuse Test: Probe fuse terminals to check for power.
- Polarity Test: Determine positive or negative voltage at a point.
- Circuit Test: Check for voltage presence in a circuit.
- Continuity Test: Use the small black grounded crocodile clip to hold one end of the wire, and the probe contact to the other end of the measured wire.
- Component Activation: Quickly test the status of components before installation or when they are online.

4. Working Modes (Power Circuit Probe Tester)
The power circuit probe tester offers two main working modes:
- Current Mode: Measures current in the range of DC 0-8A.
- Voltage Mode: Measures probe test voltage from 1-60V DC, with a two-clip supply voltage of 5-36V DC.
Overload Protection: If the current exceeds 8A, the tester will automatically disconnect to protect the circuit and prevent damage.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display/No lights | No power to the circuit; Poor connection; Voltage outside 3-60V DC range. | Ensure the circuit has power. Check connections of the alligator clamp and probe. Verify voltage is within the specified range. |
| "oL" displayed / Flashing lights | Voltage exceeds 60V DC. | Do not use the tester on circuits exceeding 60V DC. This indicates an over-range condition. |
| Inaccurate readings | Poor connection; Dirty probe tip; Interference. | Ensure firm connections. Clean the probe tip. Test in a clear environment. |
| Overload protection activated (Power Circuit Probe Tester) | Current exceeds 8A. | Reduce the load or test a different circuit. The tester automatically disconnects to prevent damage. |
