5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso
This semi-automatic espresso machine utilizes a 20-bar professional high-pressure pump and a 1350W motor to efficiently extract rich coffee oils, aroma, and flavor.
- Prepare the Portafilter: Select the appropriate filter basket (single or double shot) and place it into the portafilter. Fill with finely ground espresso coffee.
- Tamp the Coffee: Use the tamper to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the brew head and turn it to the right until it is securely locked in place.
- Place Cup(s): Position one or two espresso cups on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Brew Espresso: Once the machine is preheated (indicator lights are solid), press the single shot button for 20-40ml of espresso or the double shot button for 40-80ml. The machine will automatically stop.

Figure 4: The 20-bar pressure system ensures optimal extraction for a rich crema.

Figure 5: The machine allows for brewing single (20-40ml) or double (40-80ml) espresso shots.
5.2 Frothing Milk
The powerful steam wand produces soft, dense microfoam for cappuccinos and lattes.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Activate Steam: Turn the steam knob to the steam position. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate steadily, indicating the machine has reached steaming temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam knob to release any condensed water from the wand into the drip tray. Close the knob.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Slowly open the steam knob. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam. Once desired texture and temperature are reached, close the steam knob.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam knob again to purge any milk from inside the wand.

Figure 6: The adjustable steam wand creates rich microfoam for milk-based coffee drinks.
5.3 PID Temperature Control
The advanced PID temperature control system ensures a stable and optimal water temperature for consistent, high-quality extraction. The automatic preheating function ensures your espresso is always served at the perfect temperature.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your espresso machine and ensure optimal performance.
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under running water.
- Brew Head: After removing the portafilter, run a small amount of water through the brew head to rinse away any residual coffee grounds.
- Steam Wand: As mentioned in section 5.2, clean immediately after frothing milk. The removable steam nozzle can be detached for thorough cleaning to prevent blockages.
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. The removable drip tray makes daily care quick and easy.
- Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank daily and rinse it. Refill with fresh water for the next use.
6.2 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions (or use a mixture of white vinegar and water).
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the brew head and another under the steam wand.
- Turn on the machine and allow it to preheat.
- Run half of the solution through the brew head by pressing the double shot button multiple times.
- Turn the steam knob to release the remaining solution through the steam wand.
- After the tank is empty, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
- Repeat steps 3-6 with fresh water to rinse the machine completely.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your espresso machine, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No coffee dispenses / Slow flow | Coffee grounds too fine or tamped too hard; Brew head clogged; No water in tank. | Use coarser grind or lighter tamp; Clean brew head; Refill water tank. |
| Weak coffee / Watery espresso | Coffee grounds too coarse or not enough coffee; Insufficient tamping. | Use finer grind or more coffee; Tamp firmly. |
| Steam wand not producing steam or only water | Steam wand clogged with milk residue; Not enough preheating time for steam. | Clean steam wand thoroughly, including removable nozzle; Allow machine to fully preheat for steam (steam indicator light solid). |
| Machine not turning on | Not plugged in; Power outlet issue. | Ensure power cord is securely plugged in; Check power outlet with another appliance. |
| Water leaking from machine | Water tank not seated correctly; Drip tray full; Seal issue. | Ensure water tank is properly inserted; Empty drip tray; Contact customer support if problem persists. |
| Lights blinking continuously, no operation | Machine is still preheating; System error or blockage. | Wait for lights to become solid; If blinking persists after several minutes, try descaling the machine as a blockage might be present. If the issue continues, contact customer support. |
