  • Use only original or approved replacement parts and accessories.
  • This unit is ESD-safe. Take appropriate ESD precautions when working with sensitive electronic components.

Product Overview

The ZQFEE 2-in-1 Soldering Iron Hot Air Rework Station is designed for precision and efficiency. It features:

  • Advanced PID Temperature Control: Ensures precise temperature regulation by cycling every 20 milliseconds to detect and correct the heating element's actual temperature, providing rapid stabilization for consistent performance.
  • High-Performance Soldering: Adjustable temperature from 392 to 896°F (200 to 480°C), powered by a dual-core microprocessor for reliable heat output. Includes an adjustable sleep mode (0-99 minutes) to extend tip and element lifespan during idle periods.
  • Enhanced Safety and Modularity: Features detachable hot air gun and soldering iron from safety receptacles, allowing easy replacement. Three digital displays show set parameters like temperature readouts for both stations and simulated air volume.
  • Comprehensive Accessories: Includes a roll of lead-free solder (35g), five certified soldering tips, four hot air nozzles, ESD-safe tweezers, desoldering pump, metallic iron holder, tip cleaner (brass wool), cleaning sponge, and an IC popper.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all accessories listed in the "Product Overview" section are present.
  2. Placement: Place the soldering station on a stable, heat-resistant, and well-ventilated surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
  3. Connect Soldering Iron: Connect the soldering iron cable to the designated receptacle on the front panel of the station. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Connect Hot Air Gun: Connect the hot air gun cable to its designated receptacle on the front panel. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The unit is ETL-certified and operates on standard voltage.
  6. Prepare Holders: Position the metallic iron holder and hot air gun holder for easy access and safe placement during operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Soldering Station Operation

  1. Power On: Flip the "POWER" switch for the Soldering Station to the "ON" position. The digital display will show the current temperature.
  2. Adjust Temperature: Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to set the desired soldering temperature (392-896°F / 200-480°C). The PID control will quickly stabilize the tip temperature.
  3. Sleep Mode: The soldering iron features an adjustable sleep mode (0-99 minutes). If the iron is idle for the set duration, it will automatically reduce its temperature to 392°F (200°C) to conserve tip life. Picking up the iron will reactivate it to the set temperature.
  4. Soldering: Once the desired temperature is reached, you can begin soldering. Always ensure the tip is clean and tinned.
  5. Power Off: When finished, flip the "POWER" switch to "OFF" and allow the iron to cool completely before storing.

2. Hot Air Rework Station Operation

  1. Power On: Flip the "POWER" switch for the SMD Rework Station to the "ON" position. The digital displays will show temperature and air volume.
  2. Adjust Temperature: Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to set the desired hot air temperature (212-896°F / 100-480°C).
  3. Adjust Air Volume: Use the "AIR" knob to adjust the airflow. The digital display will show the simulated air volume.
  4. Automatic/Manual Mode:
    • AUTO: When the hot air gun is placed in its holder, it will automatically cool down to below 212°F (100°C) and turn off temporarily. It will reactivate when picked up.
    • MANUAL: The hot air gun will continue operating at the set temperature and air volume regardless of its position in the holder. Use with caution.
  5. Reworking: Direct the hot air nozzle towards the component to be reworked, maintaining a safe distance to avoid damage to surrounding components.
  6. Power Off: When finished, place the hot air gun in its holder (if in AUTO mode) or flip the "POWER" switch to "OFF" and allow the unit to cool down completely.

Maintenance

  • Soldering Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering iron tip using the included brass wool or a damp sponge. This helps prevent oxidation and ensures efficient heat transfer. Re-tin the tip after cleaning.
  • Hot Air Nozzle Cleaning: Ensure hot air nozzles are free from debris or solder splatter. Clean gently with a soft brush or cloth when the unit is cool.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the main unit clean and free of dust. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Component Replacement: The detachable design allows for easy replacement of the soldering iron and hot air gun if they become worn or damaged. Refer to the manufacturer for compatible replacement parts.
