Tips for Accurate Measurement:
- Remain still during the measurement.
- Keep your fingers warm.
- Avoid long fingernails.
- Do not wear nail polish or artificial nails on the finger being measured.
Understanding the Display
The large LED screen displays your SpO2 percentage and pulse rate (BPM). The device supports two display orientations, which can be changed by pressing the power button during measurement.

Alarm Function
If the measured blood oxygen saturation falls below 94% or the heart rate exceeds 130 bpm or drops below 50 bpm, the device will emit an audible alarm and display a flashing measurement value to alert the user.
Automatic Shut-off
The oximeter will automatically turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity (no finger detected) to conserve battery life.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Clean the surface of the oximeter with a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (70% ethanol or 75% isopropanol).
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in any liquid.
- Ensure the device is completely dry before reuse.
Storage
- Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
Device Does Not Turn On or Respond
- Check Battery Polarity: Ensure the AAA batteries are inserted with the correct positive and negative orientation.
- Replace Batteries: If the batteries are old or depleted, replace them with new ones.
- Verify Red Light: Before inserting your finger, ensure there is a red light visible inside the finger clip. If not, the device may not be powered correctly.
Inaccurate or Unstable Readings
- Finger Position: Ensure your finger is fully inserted into the oximeter and resting flat on the sensor.
- Movement: Avoid any movement of your hand or body during measurement.
- External Factors: Ensure your finger is warm, and free from nail polish, artificial nails, or dirt. Strong ambient light can also affect readings.
- Device Condition: Check for any visible damage to the sensor or device.
Differentiating SpO2 and PR
When reading results, carefully distinguish between the Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) value and the Pulse Rate (PR) value to avoid misinterpretation. SpO2 is typically displayed as a percentage, while PR is displayed in beats per minute (bpm).
