Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Window Kit: Assemble the window slider panels to match the width or height of your window opening. Use the provided screws to fix the panels together, but do not overtighten initially.
2. Attach Hose Connectors: Connect the hose inlet and hose outlet connectors to each end of the exhaust hose.
3. Connect Exhaust Hose to AC: Insert the hose inlet connector into the designated port on the back of the portable AC unit.
4. Install Window Kit: Place the assembled window slider kit into your window opening. Close the window to secure the panel in place. For optimal sealing, apply the sealing foam tape around the edges of the window kit to prevent air leakage and insect entry.
5. Connect Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Insert the hose outlet connector into the opening on the window slider panel.

3. Operating Instructions

The KoolSiln Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the touch control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel and Remote:

The control panel features touch-sensitive buttons for power, mode selection, fan speed, temperature/humidity adjustment, timer, and child lock. The remote control duplicates these functions and also includes a dedicated 'Turbo' mode button.

Basic Operation:

• Power On/Off: Press the power button () to turn the unit on or off. When turning off, the unit will have a 20-second timer to wind down the compressor before fully shutting off and closing the louvers.
• Mode Selection: Press the 'Mode' button (M) to cycle through Cooling, Dry (Dehumidifier), and Fan modes.
• Temperature/Humidity Adjustment: Use the Up () and Down () arrows to set your desired temperature (in Cooling mode) or humidity level (in Dry mode). Temperature ranges from 61°F to 90°F. Humidity levels range from 30% to 70% in 5% increments.
• Fan Speed: Press the 'Fan Speed' button () to select High, Medium, Low, or Auto fan speed. In Fan mode, temperature control is not available, but fan speed can be adjusted.
• Timer: Press the 'Timer' button () to set an auto-on or auto-off time from 0.5 to 24 hours.

Dry (Dehumidifier) Mode:

Effectively removes excess moisture from the air. The 360° Auto-Evaporation Technology converts 80% of the collected water into cool air, significantly reducing the need for manual drainage. For continuous dehumidification, it is recommended to connect the drainage hose to the main drain outlet on the back of the unit, leading to a bucket or floor drain.

Fan Mode:

Circulates air without cooling or dehumidifying. Fan speed can be adjusted to High, Medium, Low, or Auto. In Auto mode, the unit intelligently switches between cool and fan modes based on room temperature (cool mode above 77°F, fan mode below 73°F).

Sleep Mode:

Designed for minimal disturbance during sleep. In Sleep mode, the display dims, fan noise is reduced, and the unit maintains your ideal temperature quietly. This mode operates at a low noise level of 48dB.

Child Lock:

To activate the child lock, press and hold the 'Mode' button (M) and the Down arrow () simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will lock the control panel buttons. To deactivate, repeat the same action.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning the Air Filter:

The KoolSiln AC unit features a removable and washable mesh air filter located on the back of the unit. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and air quality.

1. Remove Filter: Gently pull out the filter screen from the back of the unit.
2. Clean Filter: Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavily soiled filters, wash with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Dry Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting.
4. Reinstall Filter: Slide the clean, dry filter back into its slot on the unit.

Draining the Unit:

While the auto-evaporation feature reduces manual drainage, it may still be necessary, especially in high-humidity environments or when using Dry mode.

• Manual Drainage: If the unit's internal water tank becomes full, an 'F1' error code will appear on the display, and the unit will shut off. To drain, locate the bottom drain outlet on the back of the unit, remove the cap, and allow the water to flow into a suitable container. Reinsert the cap once drained.
• Continuous Drainage (Dry Mode): For continuous operation in Dry mode, connect the provided drainage hose to the main drain outlet (located higher on the back of the unit) and ensure the other end is placed lower than the outlet, leading to a floor drain or large bucket.

6. Troubleshooting

• Unit Not Turning On: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Ensure the unit is not displaying an 'F1' error code (indicating a full water tank).
• 'F1' Error Code: This indicates the internal water tank is full. Turn off the unit, drain the water using the bottom drain outlet, and then restart the unit.
• Insufficient Cooling: Ensure all windows and doors are closed. Check if the exhaust hose is properly installed and sealed. Clean the air filter if it's dirty. Verify the temperature setting is appropriate for the room size. Ensure the unit is placed at least 20 inches away from walls and other objects to allow proper airflow.
• Unusual Noise: Check for any obstructions in the air intake or exhaust vents. Ensure the unit is on a flat, stable surface.
• Remote Control Not Working: Check and replace the AAA batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the AC unit's receiver.
