3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the microscope. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the microscope's charging port and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged. A full charge provides approximately 3-4 hours of continuous use.
3.2 Attaching the Protective Case and Lanyard
Carefully slide the unicorn silicone protective case onto the microscope. Ensure all ports and buttons are accessible. Attach the lanyard to the designated loop on the microscope or case for secure carrying, especially during outdoor activities.
3.3 Inserting a Memory Card (Optional)
The microscope has a built-in 64MB memory for storing up to 100 photos. For extended storage and video recording, insert a compatible microSD card (not included) into the memory card slot. Ensure the microscope is powered off before inserting or removing the card.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the microscope, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off.
4.2 Adjusting Focus
Place the microscope's lens close to the object you wish to observe. Rotate the manual focus wheel (typically located near the lens) until the image on the screen appears clear and sharp. Adjust the distance between the lens and the object for optimal viewing.
4.3 Adjusting LED Illumination
The microscope features 9 built-in LED lights. Use the LED control button (refer to device diagram in future versions of this manual) to cycle through different brightness levels or to turn the lights on/off. Adjust the illumination to achieve the best visibility for your specimen.
4.4 Capturing Photos and Videos
While observing an object, press the Photo/Video button to capture an image. If a memory card is inserted, you can also switch to video mode (if available, refer to on-screen menu) and press the button to start/stop recording. Captured media is saved to the internal memory or the inserted microSD card.
4.5 Viewing and Managing Files
Access the menu (typically via a Menu button) to navigate to the playback or gallery section. Use the navigation buttons to browse through captured photos and videos. Options for deleting or protecting files may be available within this menu.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Microscope
Gently wipe the microscope's body with a soft, dry cloth. For the lens and screen, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and, if necessary, a small amount of lens cleaning solution. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the microscope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it in its protective case to prevent scratches and impacts.
5.3 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the microscope for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% every few months.
