Setup

1. Initial Winding

Your Pagani Design PD1796 watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. Before first use, or if the watch has stopped due to inactivity, it requires manual winding to initiate power reserve.

  1. Locate the crown on the right side of the watch case.
  2. Ensure the crown is in the fully pushed-in position (position 0).
  3. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30 times. This will build up sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
  4. The watch will begin to operate.

2. Setting the Time

  1. Gently pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Movement

The PD1796 features a self-winding mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your wrist while worn. If worn for less than eight hours daily, or if the watch has been inactive for an extended period, it may require manual winding (as described in the "Initial Winding" section) to maintain its power reserve.

Luminescent Hands

The hands of the watch are luminescent, allowing for clear time-reading in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminescence.

Maintenance and Care

Water Resistance

This watch has a water resistance rating of 100 meters (10 ATM), making it suitable for daily life activities such as hand washing, rain exposure, and swimming. It is not suitable for diving or high-pressure water activities.

Important: Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down (if applicable) or pushed in before the watch comes into contact with water to prevent water ingress.

Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch:

  • Wipe the case and sapphire crystal with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For the leather strap, avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and harsh chemicals to prevent damage and discoloration.
  • Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive materials on any part of the watch.
