4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films.
  2. Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the refrigerator on a firm, level floor. Use the adjustable leveling feet to ensure stability.
  • Allow at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space at the back and sides for proper ventilation.
  • Avoid placing the refrigerator in direct sunlight or near heat sources like stoves or radiators.

4.3 Electrical Connection

  • Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the refrigerator (230 Volts).
  • Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded 3-pin power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 2-4 hours after placement before plugging in the appliance to allow refrigerants to settle.

4.4 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior of the refrigerator with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Control

The refrigerator features an adjustable temperature control dial, typically located inside the fresh food compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. Higher numbers usually indicate colder settings.

5.2 Food Storage Guidelines

  • Store cooked foods and dairy products on upper shelves.
  • Raw meat and fish should be stored on the lowest shelf to prevent dripping onto other foods.
  • Vegetables and fruits should be stored in the vegetable tray to maintain freshness.
  • Do not overload the refrigerator, as this can restrict airflow and reduce cooling efficiency.

5.3 Defrosting

This is a direct cool refrigerator, which means frost will accumulate in the freezer compartment. Defrost the freezer manually when the frost layer reaches approximately 5mm (0.2 inches) thick.

  1. Turn off the refrigerator and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items from the freezer and fresh food compartments. Store perishable items in a cooler.
  3. Leave the freezer door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting.
  4. Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  5. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to cool for a few hours before returning food items.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Interior

  • Regularly clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water.
  • Remove shelves and drawers for thorough cleaning.
  • Wipe all surfaces dry to prevent mold and mildew growth.

6.2 Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent.
  • Clean the door seals regularly to ensure a tight seal and prevent energy loss.

6.3 Power Cord Inspection

Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service technician to avoid hazards.
