Setup

1. Insert MicroSD Card

Locate the microSD card slot on the side of the device. Gently insert a formatted microSD card (up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly to avoid damage.

2. Charge the Device

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the included USB cable to the camera's USB port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The indicator light will show charging status (refer to indicator light section for details). A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 2-3 seconds until the indicator light illuminates.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light turns off.

Standard Video Recording

  1. Ensure the device is powered on and in standby mode (indicator light solid).
  2. Press the Photo/Video button once to start video recording. The indicator light will flash to indicate recording is in progress.
  3. Press the Photo/Video button again to stop recording. The device will save the video file and return to standby mode.

Motion Detection Recording

  1. Ensure the device is powered on and in standby mode.
  2. Press the Power button twice quickly to activate motion detection mode. The indicator light will change to confirm activation.
  3. The camera will automatically begin recording when motion is detected and stop when motion ceases.
  4. To exit motion detection mode, press the Power button once.

Night Vision Activation

The camera automatically activates its invisible infrared LEDs in low-light conditions to capture clear black-and-white video. No manual activation is required for night vision.

Photo Mode

While in standby mode, press the Photo/Video button once to take a photo. The indicator light will flash briefly to confirm the photo has been taken.

Setting Date and Time

To set the date and time stamp on your recordings, connect the camera to a computer. Create a text file named 'TIMECARD.TXT' (or similar, refer to specific firmware instructions if provided) in the root directory of the microSD card. Enter the current date and time in the format 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS' (e.g., 2026-08-24 14:30:00) and save the file. Disconnect the camera safely. The next recording will have the updated timestamp.

Data Transfer and Viewing

There are two primary methods to access your recorded files:

  1. Via USB Cable: Connect the camera to your computer using the provided USB cable. The camera will appear as a removable disk. You can then browse, copy, or delete files from the microSD card.
  2. Via Card Reader: Remove the microSD card from the camera and insert it into a compatible card reader. Connect the card reader to your computer for faster file transfer.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, charge the device regularly and avoid fully discharging it for extended periods.
  • MicroSD Card: Periodically format the microSD card to maintain performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
  • Cannot record video: Check if a microSD card is inserted and properly formatted. Ensure there is sufficient storage space.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check lighting conditions.
  • Computer not recognizing camera: Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the camera is powered on when connected. Try using a card reader.
  • Indicator light behavior: Refer to the product's specific indicator light guide (if provided separately) for detailed status meanings. Generally, a solid light indicates standby, flashing indicates recording, and a different color/pattern indicates charging or error.
