3. Setup and Installation
Installation of this mini split system requires specialized tools and knowledge. It is strongly recommended that installation be performed by a professional HVAC technician. Improper installation can void your warranty and lead to operational issues or safety hazards.
Pre-Installation Checks:
- Verify that all components listed in the 'Package Contents' section are present and undamaged.
- Ensure the installation location meets the necessary structural requirements and has adequate space for both indoor and outdoor units.
- Confirm that the electrical supply (208/230V) is available and correctly rated for the unit.
General Installation Steps (for professional reference):
- Mount the indoor unit securely on an interior wall, ensuring proper drainage.
- Install the outdoor unit on a stable, level surface, away from obstructions.
- Connect the refrigerant lines (liquid and gas pipes) between the indoor and outdoor units. Ensure connections are tight and leak-free.
- Connect the communication wire and power supply wiring according to the wiring diagram in the full installation manual.
- Evacuate the refrigerant lines to remove air and moisture.
- Perform a leak test on all connections.
- Open the service valves and release the refrigerant.

4. Operating Instructions
Your COSTWAY Mini Split AC offers multiple ways to control your comfort: via the included remote control, a smartphone app, or voice commands with compatible smart assistants.
Remote Control Operation:
The remote control allows direct access to all functions. Point the remote control towards the indoor unit when operating.

Available Modes:
- Auto: The unit automatically selects cooling or heating based on the room temperature.
- Cool: Provides cooling to lower the room temperature.
- Heat: Provides heating to raise the room temperature.
- Dry: Dehumidifies the air without significant temperature change.
- Fan: Circulates air without cooling or heating.
- ECO: Energy-saving mode for optimized operation.
- Sleep: Adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleep and reduced noise.
Fan Speeds:
Select from 8 fan speeds, ranging from Mute for ultra-quiet operation to Turbo for maximum airflow.
Special Functions:
- 4D Swing: Activates horizontal and vertical louver movement to distribute air evenly.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your COSTWAY Mini Split AC. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.
Filter Cleaning:
The indoor unit's air filters should be cleaned regularly, typically every two weeks, or more often depending on usage and air quality.
- Open the front panel of the indoor unit.
- Remove the air filters.
- Wash the filters with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filters to air dry completely before reinstalling them. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Self-Clean Function:
The unit features a self-clean function to help prevent mold and bacteria buildup on the evaporator coil. Refer to your remote control or app instructions for activating this feature.
