5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Connecting to a Water Source
- Ensure the brass shut-off valve is in the closed position.
- Connect your garden hose to the inlet of the brass shut-off valve.
- Turn on the water supply from your spigot.
5.2. Adjusting the Telescoping Pole
To extend the pole, twist the locking collars counter-clockwise to loosen, pull the pole section to the desired length, and then twist the collars clockwise to tighten and secure. Ensure all sections are firmly locked before use. The tool can reach up to 16 feet when fully extended.
5.3. Using the Flexible Water Wand
The flexible water wand can be bent to various angles to reach into gutters or other tight spaces. The nozzle on the wand allows you to adjust the water flow and spray pattern. Rotate the nozzle head to switch between different spray types (e.g., jet, fan). Use the brass shut-off valve to control the water flow intensity.
5.4. Gutter Cleaning Technique
- Stand on a stable, level surface. Do not use on ladders.
- Extend the pole to the necessary length to comfortably reach the gutter from the ground.
- Open the brass shut-off valve to begin water flow.
- Guide the flexible wand into the gutter, using its bendable feature to direct water flow to dislodge debris.
- Work in sections, moving along the gutter length to flush out leaves, dirt, and other blockages.
- Adjust the spray pattern and water pressure as needed for different types of debris.

6. Maintenance and Storage
- After each use, turn off the water supply and disconnect the hose.
- Rinse the flexible wand and nozzle thoroughly to remove any debris.
- Wipe down the aluminum poles with a damp cloth to clean off dirt.
- Ensure all components are dry before storing to prevent corrosion.
- Store the tool in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Retract the telescoping poles to their shortest length for compact storage.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low water pressure | Partially closed shut-off valve; Clogged nozzle; Low household water pressure. | Fully open the shut-off valve. Clean the nozzle. Check your household water supply. |
| Water leaks from connections | Loose connections; Damaged O-rings/gaskets. | Tighten all connections. Inspect and replace any damaged O-rings or gaskets. |
| Pole sections do not lock securely | Locking collars not tightened; Dirt in locking mechanism. | Ensure locking collars are twisted clockwise until tight. Clean any dirt or debris from the pole sections and locking mechanisms. |
| Flexible wand does not hold position | Excessive force applied; Internal wear. | Avoid over-bending. If the issue persists, the wand may need replacement. |
