3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Chair Assembly Overview
- Step 1: Attach the chair base to the swivel mechanism.
- Step 2: Secure the seat frame to the base.
- Step 3: Connect the backrest to the seat frame and armrests.
- Step 4: Attach the armrests to the seat and backrest, ensuring all connections are secure.
Repeat the process for all six chairs. For the dining table, follow the specific instructions to attach the legs to the tabletop and secure the frame components.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Swivel and Rocking Chairs
The MELLCOM patio chairs are designed with a 360-degree swivel and a 15-degree gentle rocking motion for enhanced comfort and relaxation. To operate, simply lean back gently to initiate the rocking motion or rotate the seat for a full 360-degree swivel.

4.2 Umbrella Hole Usage
The rectangular dining table is equipped with a 1.57-inch umbrella hole, suitable for most standard market umbrellas. To use, insert the umbrella pole through the hole in the tabletop and into the bottom umbrella fixing hole in the table's frame. Ensure the umbrella is securely seated and stable before use. Close the umbrella during strong winds or when not in use to prevent damage.

5. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your MELLCOM outdoor dining set.
5.1 Frame Care
The dining set features a powder-coated steel frame with an E-coating for enhanced rust protection. To maintain its finish:
- Clean the frame regularly with a soft cloth, mild soap, and water.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely to prevent water spots.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or wire brushes, as these can damage the protective coating.
- Inspect the frame periodically for any scratches or chips in the coating. Touch up with appropriate outdoor furniture paint if necessary to prevent rust.
5.2 Textilene Fabric Care
The chairs are made with high-density Textilene material, known for being breathable, quick-drying, and easy to clean.

- Wipe down the Textilene fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap solution.
- For stubborn stains, a soft brush can be used gently.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry. The quick-drying nature of Textilene ensures it dries rapidly.
- Avoid bleach or strong detergents, which can degrade the fabric.
5.3 General Tips
- During prolonged periods of non-use or harsh weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, extreme sun), consider covering the dining set or storing it indoors to prolong its lifespan.
- Regularly check and tighten all bolts and screws to ensure stability and safety.

- Solution: Clean the affected area thoroughly. For scratches, use a touch-up paint specifically designed for outdoor metal furniture. For minor rust spots, gently sand the area, clean, and then apply rust-inhibiting primer followed by touch-up paint.
