4.1 Mounting Style

The S8G2104PR utilizes the DAH10D mounting style, which is a Double-DIN Adaptive Head-unit with a 10.1-inch floating display. The display can be adjusted for height and viewing angles. Ensure that the large screen does not obstruct air vents, emergency switches, or other controls in your vehicle.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

The unit powers on with the vehicle's ignition. Navigate the AICE UI 11.0 using the touchscreen. Common functions include audio playback, navigation, and app access.

5.2 Touch Gestures

The S8 supports six touch gestures for quick access to functions. For example, a two-finger or three-finger tap can quickly enter the multi-task menu, switch between preset EQ modes, or adjust screen brightness. These gestures are designed to improve operational safety while driving.

5.3 Split Screen Display

The unit supports split-screen display, allowing two applications to run simultaneously on the screen. This feature can be accessed via the multi-task menu.

5.4 Steering Wheel Controls

The S8 Pro is compatible with existing steering wheel audio controls. An optional ATOTO AC-44F5 Steering Wheel IR Remote can also be used for additional control.

6. Connectivity

6.1 Internet Access

The S8 Pro offers multiple methods for internet access:

• Wi-Fi: Connect to available Wi-Fi networks.
• Bluetooth Tethering: Connect to your phone's Bluetooth tethering for internet access.
• USB Tethering: Use a USB connection to share your phone's internet.
• Built-in 4G Cellular Modem: Insert a compatible SIM card (not included) for direct 4G internet access.

6.2 Dual Bluetooth with aptX HD

The unit features Dual Bluetooth, allowing simultaneous connection to your phone and other Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth 1 supports Qualcomm aptX HD codec for 24-bit music quality, provided your phone also supports this codec. Bluetooth 2 supports phone Bluetooth tethering for internet access.

6.3 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The S8 Pro supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrating your smartphone's features directly into the car stereo display.

7.1 DriveChat AI Driving Assistant

The DriveChat APP provides AI voice control for managing the car stereo. It allows for hands-free operation of calls, music playback, and other functions. Users can customize wake-up words and switch between different AI chatbots for specific needs.

7.2 Virtual Surround-View (VSV) & Live Rear-View (LRV)

When connected to an ATOTO AC-HD03LR camera (sold separately), the unit can display a Virtual Surround-View (VSV) and Live Rear-View (LRV). The VSV feature uses a panoramic image stitching algorithm to create a dynamic, virtual surroundings view. LRV allows users to see the rearview even when moving forward, improving visibility by removing obstructions.

7.3 Speed Compensated Volume Control (SCVC)

SCVC automatically adjusts the system volume based on vehicle speed, compensating for road and wind noise. This feature is applicable at speeds of 50 mph or higher and uses GPS positioning algorithms.

7.4 TrackHU GPS Tracking App

TrackHU is an exclusive ATOTO GPS tracking application installed on the stereo. It provides real-time tracking, OsmAnd's 4-satellite positioning, track playback with speed control, detailed reports, and instant online/offline status and geofence alerts. This app assists in monitoring vehicle journeys and enhancing security.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Sound: Verify speaker connections, volume levels, and audio source selection.
• Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Issues: Ensure Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is enabled on both the stereo and the connected device. Try restarting both devices.
• System Unresponsive: Perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds, or refer to the device settings for a factory reset option (note: this will erase all user data).
