Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your softbox:
- Carefully unfold the softbox. The quick-release mechanism allows the support rods to snap into their extended positions.
- Ensure all eight rods are securely locked into place, forming the octagonal shape of the softbox.
- If included, attach the inner diffuser to the internal Velcro tabs inside the softbox.
- Attach the outer diffuser (if included) to the front Velcro rim of the softbox.
- For more controlled light, attach the honeycomb grid to the front Velcro rim, over the outer diffuser.
- Mount the assembled softbox onto your compatible flash lamp or light stand adapter.

Operating Instructions
Using the Softbox:
- Positioning: Place the softbox to achieve your desired lighting effect. The octagonal shape provides a natural, round catchlight in the subject's eyes.
- Using the Grid: Attach the honeycomb grid to narrow the beam of light, reduce light spill, and create more dramatic, directional lighting. Remove the grid for a broader, softer light spread.
- Diffusers: The internal and external diffusers soften the light further, reducing harsh shadows and hot spots. Experiment with one or both diffusers for different levels of light diffusion and softness.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior fabric of the softbox with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. The diffusers can be hand-washed with mild soap and water, then air-dried completely before reassembly.
- Storage: To disassemble, press the quick-release buttons on each rod and fold the softbox. Store it in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the softbox for any signs of wear or damage to the fabric, rods, or mounting mechanism. Do not use the product if it is damaged.
