5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the clock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
5.2 Battery Replacement
When the display dims or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Open the battery compartment, remove old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity. The backup batteries will retain settings during main battery replacement.
5.3 Storage
If the clock will not be used for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Clock not turning on: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and any transparent protective film has been removed. Try pressing the reset button if available (refer to manual).
- Poor radio reception: Move the clock to a different location, preferably near a window and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. If reception remains poor, manually set the time.
- Display issues (e.g., dim or incomplete): Replace all batteries with fresh ones.
- Backlight visibility: The LCD display's backlight may appear less clear when viewed from certain angles, especially from below, in dark environments. For optimal visibility with backlight, position the clock at eye level or slightly above.
