- The maximum weight capacity for the in-pool steps is 350 lbs. The maximum weight capacity for the swing-up ladder is 250 lbs. Do not exceed these limits.
- When not in use, always swing up and lock the outside ladder to prevent unauthorized access to the pool.
- Regularly inspect the steps and ladder for damage, wear, or loose components. Do not use if damaged.
- This ladder is not compatible with Intex, Coleman, pop-up, or inflatable style pools.
2. Product Overview
The Aqua Select Anti-Slip In-Pool Steps with Outside Flip-Up Ladder is designed to provide safe and easy entry and exit for above-ground swimming pools. This system features anti-slip treads on both the in-pool steps and the outside ladder, enhancing user safety. The outside ladder can be flipped up and locked to restrict pool access when unsupervised.
The closed side panels of these in-pool steps prevent entrapment while increasing the stability of the steps. This product is suitable for pools or decks up to 54 inches in height.

3. Components List

4. Setup and Installation
This section outlines the general steps for assembling and installing your Aqua Select pool steps and ladder. Specific instructions and diagrams are provided in the included assembly manual.
4.1 Assembly
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the components list.
- Assemble In-Pool Steps: Follow the snap-together instructions to assemble the main in-pool step unit. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Attach Handrails: Secure the handrails to the in-pool step unit using the provided hardware.
- Assemble Outside Ladder: Assemble the outside flip-up ladder unit, ensuring all steps and handrails are firmly attached.

4.2 Placement and Securing
- Position In-Pool Steps: Place the assembled in-pool steps inside your above-ground pool.
- Add Weight for Stability: To prevent floating, funnel approximately 40 lbs of sand directly into the steps. Alternatively, use Aqua Select step weights (sold separately) and attach them to the steps.
- Mount to Pool/Deck: Use the adjustable deck attachment brackets to securely mount the in-pool steps to your pool's top rail or deck. Ensure the steps are level and stable. This system is designed for pools or decks between 48 and 54 inches in height.
- Attach Outside Ladder: Connect the outside flip-up ladder to the in-pool steps using the provided mounting brackets. Ensure a secure and stable connection.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Entering and Exiting the Pool
- Ensure the outside ladder is in the down position and securely latched.
- Use the handrails for support when ascending or descending the steps and ladder.
- Step carefully on the anti-slip treads.

5.2 Securing the Pool (Flip-Up Ladder)
- When the pool is not in use or is unsupervised, lift the outside ladder upwards.
- Engage the locking mechanism to secure the ladder in the upright position. This prevents unintended access to the pool.
- Always ensure the ladder is fully locked before leaving the pool area unattended.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pool steps and ladder.
- Cleaning: Clean the steps and ladder regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes that could damage the surface or anti-slip treads.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect all components for cracks, breaks, loose fasteners, or excessive wear. Pay close attention to the anti-slip treads, handrails, and mounting points.
- Winterization: During the off-season, it is recommended to remove the steps and ladder from the pool, clean them thoroughly, and store them in a dry, protected area to prevent damage from freezing temperatures or prolonged exposure to harsh weather.
7. Troubleshooting
