Hisummer HF10F1 Register Booster Fan User Manual

Model: HF10F1

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Hisummer HF10F1 Register Booster Fan. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new fan. This device is designed to improve airflow from your existing HVAC system through 4" x 10" duct openings, enhancing heating and cooling in specific rooms. Please read these instructions thoroughly before installation and use, and retain them for future reference.

Safety Information

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power adapter is connected to a standard 100-240V AC outlet. Do not use if the cord or plug is damaged. Keep the power cord away from heat sources and sharp edges.
  • Placement: Install the fan securely in a 4" x 10" duct opening. Do not block the fan's intake or exhaust grilles.
  • Children and Pets: The anti-finger grille is designed to prevent accidental contact with moving parts. However, always supervise children and pets around the device.
  • Weight Capacity: The reinforced aluminum-alloy faceplate supports up to 300 lbs for foot traffic when installed in a floor register.
  • HVAC System Compatibility: This booster fan is intended to assist airflow. If your HVAC system is prone to freezing (during cooling) or overheating (during heating) due to restricted airflow or other issues, using a booster fan might exacerbate these problems. Consult an HVAC professional if you experience such issues.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.

Setup

  1. Measure Duct Opening: Crucially, measure the inside dimensions of your duct opening. This fan is designed exclusively for 4" x 10" duct openings. Do not measure the existing register cover/grille size.
  2. Placement: The fan can be installed in floor, wall, or ceiling registers. Ensure the fan is oriented so that the airflow is directed into the room.
  3. Installation: Gently place the booster fan into the 4" x 10" duct opening. Secure it using the provided screws on the sides of the unit to ensure a snug and flush fit.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the fan and then plug the adapter into a standard 100-240V AC electrical outlet. The 9.8-ft cord allows for flexible placement near an outlet.
