Compatibility

The Joywind BY961E adapter is designed for vehicles already equipped with factory Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It is compatible with:

• iPhone 7 and above (iOS 10.0+)
• Android 11.0+ smartphones
• Works with approximately 98% of car models that support wired CarPlay/Android Auto.

Note: Not compatible with Mazda, Tesla, or BMW vehicles. Not compatible with aftermarket head units.

Setup Guide

1. Initial Connection

1. Connect the Joywind BY961E adapter to your car's USB port using the provided USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C cable. Ensure the USB port supports CarPlay or Android Auto.
2. Wait for the device to power on and load its user interface on your car's screen.

2. Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Pairing

1. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
2. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "AI Box" or a similar device name (e.g., "AIBox-BT-87BC") to connect.
3. Confirm the pairing request on both your phone and the car's screen.
4. For Android Auto, you may need to manually connect to the vehicle's built-in Bluetooth after pairing with the adapter. Refer to the special instructions in the package for details.
5. Once connected, your car's screen will display the Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto interface.

3. Wi-Fi Connection for Streaming

To connect:

2. HDMI Input for Media Streaming

• Connect HDMI devices such as Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google TV, or game consoles to the adapter's HDMI input port.
• Ensure the HDMI device is powered (if required).
• On the adapter's interface, select the HDMI input option to display content from your connected device.
• Stream Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, and other services in up to 2K clarity.
