5. Setup

1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the lantern using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the cable to the USB-C input port located under the protective flap on the top of the lantern. The blue indicator lights will show the charging progress.
2. Unfold Panels (Optional): For 360-degree illumination, gently pull out the three LED panels from the main body. These panels can be adjusted to direct light as needed.
3. Attach Accessories: Use the included carry strap for hands-free portability or attach the 2-way hook to hang the lantern in your tent, on a branch, or other suitable locations.

6. Operating Instructions

The lantern features a single power button on the top for controlling all lighting modes.

1. Power On/Off: Press the power button once to turn on the flashlight mode. To turn off the lantern from any mode, press and hold the power button for approximately 2-3 seconds.
2. Cycle Through Modes: Once the lantern is on, short press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the available lighting modes:
• Front Flashlight (High)
• Front Flashlight (Low)
• 360-degree Lantern (High)
• 360-degree Lantern (Low)
• Red Light (Steady)
• Red Light (Strobe/SOS)

7. Charging Instructions

The AYL LED Camping Lantern is equipped with a 4000mAh rechargeable battery. To charge the lantern:

1. Locate the protective rubber flap on the top of the lantern.
2. Open the flap to reveal the USB-C input port.
3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the USB-C input port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank).
4. The blue LED indicators on the top will illuminate to show the charging status. All 4 lights indicate a full charge.

8. Power Bank Function

The lantern can also function as a power bank to charge your mobile devices.

1. Locate the USB-A output port next to the USB-C input port under the protective flap.
2. Connect your device's charging cable to the USB-A output port on the lantern.
3. The lantern will begin charging your device. The blue LED indicators will show the remaining battery level of the lantern.

9. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the lantern with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the lantern in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure it is fully charged before long-term storage to preserve battery life.
• Battery Care: To maintain optimal battery performance, fully charge the lantern at least once every 3 months, even if not in use.

10. Troubleshooting

• Lantern Not Turning On:
  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and check the LED indicators.
  • Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds to ensure it's not in a standby mode.
• Device Not Charging from Power Bank:
  • Verify the lantern has sufficient battery charge.
  • Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the lantern's USB-A output and your device.
  • Try a different charging cable or device to rule out compatibility issues.

11. Safety Information

• Eye Safety: DO NOT SHINE LIGHT DIRECTLY INTO FACE OR EYES! This can cause temporary vision impairment or irritation.
• Water Resistance: The lantern is IPX4 water resistant, meaning it can withstand splashes from any direction. It is not designed for submersion in water.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the lantern to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
• Children: Keep out of reach of small children.
• Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the lantern. This will void the warranty and may cause damage or injury.
