5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Converting Between Sofa, Recliner, and Bed

The MELLCOM sofa bed offers three primary configurations: sofa, recliner, and bed. The conversion mechanism is designed for ease of use.

1. Sofa to Recliner: To convert from sofa to recliner, gently pull the front section of the seat forward. The hidden support legs will extend, and the backrest can then be adjusted to a reclined position.
2. Recliner to Bed: From the recliner position, continue to pull the front section of the seat forward until it fully extends and lies flat, forming a bed surface. Ensure the support legs are fully locked into place.
3. Bed to Sofa: To revert to a sofa, lift the extended bed section and push it back towards the main sofa frame. The support legs will retract. Then, adjust the backrest to the upright sofa position.

5.2 Adjusting the Backrest

The backrest features three adjustable angles: 105°, 135°, and 180° (flat). To adjust, simply push the backrest forward slightly, then recline it to your desired angle. Release to lock it into position. The included pillows can be used for neck and head support in any position.
