Operating Instructions
Once connected, the KWS-066C will immediately display various charging parameters on its color screen. The display cycles through different data points or shows them simultaneously, depending on the screen layout.
- Voltage (V): Indicates the electrical potential difference.
- Current (A): Shows the flow rate of electric charge.
- Power (W): Calculated as Voltage x Current, representing the rate at which energy is transferred.
- mAh (Milliampere-hour): Accumulates the total charge transferred, useful for battery capacity testing.
- MWh (Milliwatt-hour): Accumulates the total energy transferred.
- Timer: Tracks the duration of the charging session.
- Temperature (℃): Displays the internal temperature of the tester.
- Charging Internal Resistance (Ω): Provides an indication of the cable or device's internal resistance.
The device is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Data is automatically displayed and updated in real-time.
Special Features
Fast Charging Protocol Recognition
The KWS-066C automatically detects and displays support for various fast charging protocols, including QC2.0, QC3.0, PD (Power Delivery), and VOOC. This feature allows you to verify if your charger and device are utilizing an expected fast charging standard.
Power-Off Storage
The tester includes a power-off storage function. This means that accumulated mAh and MWh data will be saved even after the device is disconnected from power. This is useful for long-term capacity and energy measurements of power banks or other devices.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the tester in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.
Troubleshooting
- No Display/No Power:
Ensure both the power source and the connected device are functioning correctly. Verify that the USB C connections are secure and fully inserted.
- Inaccurate Readings:
Check if the cables used are in good condition. Faulty cables can affect readings. Ensure the power source and load device are stable. Readings may fluctuate during dynamic charging states (e.g., during fast charge negotiation).
- Fast Charge Protocol Not Detected:
Confirm that both your charger and the device being charged support the specific fast charging protocol. Not all devices or chargers support all protocols. Ensure the cable used is also compatible with fast charging.
- Data Not Resetting:
The device features power-off storage for mAh and MWh. To clear accumulated data, consult the product's specific button functions (if any) or disconnect and reconnect to start a new measurement cycle if no reset button is present.
