3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ice crusher before first use:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the unit for any damage.
- Placement: Place the ice crusher on a clean, dry, and stable countertop or table. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Drainage Tube: Connect the provided drainage tube to the water outlet at the bottom of the storage bin. Direct the tube into a suitable drain or container to collect melted ice water.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements (110V).
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean all parts that will come into contact with ice. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for detailed cleaning instructions.
4. Operating Instructions
Operating the Hothope Commercial Ice Crusher is straightforward:
- Prepare Ice: Use ice cubes that are not excessively large. For best results, use ice from a freezer rather than freshly made ice, as it tends to be harder.
- Turn On: Ensure the unit is properly plugged in. Flip the red waterproof switch to the 'ON' position.
- Add Ice: Lift the handle to open the ice inlet. Carefully place a moderate amount of ice into the stainless steel ice barrel. Do not overfill.

- Crush Ice: Firmly press down the ergonomic handle. The machine will automatically start crushing the ice. Maintain pressure on the handle until all ice is crushed.

- Collect Shaved Ice: The shaved ice will fall into the 40L transparent storage bin below. Use the provided ice scoop to retrieve the desired amount of shaved ice.
- Turn Off: When finished, release the handle and flip the red waterproof switch to the 'OFF' position. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ice crusher.
Cleaning:
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
- Ice Barrel and Blades: Carefully clean the stainless steel ice barrel and blades. Use a brush or cloth to remove any ice residue. Be extremely cautious due to sharp blades. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
- Storage Bin: Remove the transparent PC storage bin and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reattaching.
- Drainage Tube: Periodically flush the drainage tube with clean water to prevent blockages.
Storage:
When not in use for extended periods, ensure the unit is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
