1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions carefully before using your VEVOR Pressure Cooker. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or personal injury. Keep this manual for future reference.
- General Safety: Do not allow children or individuals unfamiliar with pressure cookers to operate this appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the cooker is used near children.
- Proper Use: Use the pressure cooker only for its intended purpose. Do not use it for deep frying with oil.
- Filling Limits: Never fill the pressure cooker more than two-thirds full. For foods that expand during cooking (e.g., rice, dried vegetables), do not fill more than one-half full. Overfilling can cause blockages and excessive pressure.
- Lid and Sealing: Always ensure the lid is properly closed and locked before applying heat. Never attempt to open the lid while the cooker is pressurized.
- Pressure Release: Always allow the pressure to release completely before attempting to open the lid. Forcing the lid open under pressure can cause severe injury.
- Valve Inspection: Regularly inspect the pressure regulator valve, safety valve, and vent pipe for any blockages or damage. Clean them thoroughly before each use.
- Heat Sources: This pressure cooker is compatible with induction, ceramic, electric, and gas stovetops. Ensure the heat source size matches the base of the cooker to prevent damage to handles.
- Handles: Use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts when handling the cooker, as handles may become hot during use.
- Cleaning: The pressure cooker pot is not dishwasher safe. Refer to the maintenance section for cleaning instructions.

3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, wash the pot, lid, sealing ring, steamer rack, and pressure valves with warm, soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry all components completely.
- Inspect the silicone sealing ring for any tears or damage and ensure it is correctly seated in the lid groove.
3.2 Assembling the Lid
- Ensure the sealing ring is properly installed inside the lid.
- Verify that the pressure regulator and safety valves are clear of any obstructions.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Preparing for Cooking
- Add ingredients and liquid to the pressure cooker. Ensure the liquid level is at least 1 cup (250ml) and does not exceed the maximum fill lines (2/3 full for most foods, 1/2 full for expanding foods).
- Place the lid onto the pot, aligning the lid's arrow with the handle's arrow. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks securely into place. The ergonomic soft-touch handle and heat-resistant side grips assist in this process.
- Place the pressure cooker on a suitable stovetop (induction, ceramic, electric, or gas).

4.2 Setting Pressure
The VEVOR Pressure Cooker offers three pressure settings:
- 0 kPa (Manual Venting): For releasing pressure after cooking.
- 60 kPa (Low Pressure): Ideal for tender and easy-to-cook foods.
- 100 kPa (High Pressure): Suitable for difficult-to-digest foods and faster cooking.
Rotate the mechanical knob on the lid to select the desired pressure setting (60 kPa or 100 kPa) before heating. Ensure the setting is firm and not loose.

4.3 Cooking Process
- Heat the cooker on high heat until the pressure indicator rises and steam begins to escape from the pressure regulator valve.
- Once the desired pressure is reached (indicated by the selected weighted valve), reduce the heat to maintain a steady, gentle steam release.
- Begin timing your recipe from this point.
4.4 Pressure Release
There are two primary methods for releasing pressure:
- Natural Release: Remove the cooker from the heat source and allow it to cool down naturally. The pressure will gradually decrease, and the pressure indicator will drop. This method is suitable for foods that benefit from additional cooking time, such as stews and roasts.
- Quick Release (Manual Venting): Carefully rotate the mechanical knob to the 0 kPa (venting) position. Steam will rapidly escape. Use caution to avoid steam burns. This method is suitable for delicate foods or when you need to stop cooking quickly.
Always ensure the pressure indicator has fully dropped before attempting to open the lid.

5. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pressure cooker.
- Cleaning the Pot: Wash the stainless steel pot with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots. The pot is not dishwasher safe.
- Cleaning the Lid: Hand wash the lid with warm, soapy water. Pay special attention to cleaning around the pressure regulator, safety valves, and vent pipe to ensure no food particles are blocking them. Do not immerse the entire lid in water.
- Sealing Ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid after each use for cleaning. Wash it with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry. Ensure it is flexible and free from cracks or damage. Replace if necessary (two are included).
- Pressure Valves: Disassemble and clean the weighted pressure valves and the vent pipe to ensure they are clear of any food debris.
- Storage: Store the pressure cooker clean and dry. It is recommended to store the lid inverted on the pot to allow air circulation and prevent the sealing ring from compressing permanently.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your pressure cooker, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Pressure not building:
- Ensure the lid is properly sealed and locked.
- Verify that the pressure regulator knob is set to a pressure setting (60 kPa or 100 kPa), not 0 kPa.
- Check that there is sufficient liquid inside the cooker (at least 1 cup).
- Inspect the sealing ring for proper placement or damage.
- Steam leaking from lid:
- Confirm the lid is correctly closed and fully locked.
- Examine the silicone sealing ring for tears, cracks, or incorrect seating.
- Clean the rim of the pot and the sealing ring to remove any food debris.
- Lid stuck after cooking:
- Do not attempt to force the lid open.
- Ensure all pressure has been released, and the pressure indicator has dropped completely.
- If still stuck, run cool water over the lid (avoiding the valves) to help it cool and release.
- Food frothing and clogging valves:
- Avoid overfilling, especially with foods that froth or expand (e.g., beans, grains).
- Add a small amount of cooking oil to the liquid to help reduce frothing.
- Always clean valves thoroughly after cooking frothy foods.
