5. Setup

  1. Install Battery: Ensure the battery pack (not included) is fully charged. Align the battery pack with the battery slot on the tool and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Inspect Cable: Before each use, pull out a small section of the cable and inspect it for any signs of damage, kinks, or excessive wear. Do not use if the cable is damaged.
  3. Prepare Work Area: Clear the area around the drain. Place a bucket or towels to catch any water or debris that may come out of the drain.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective drain cleaning:

  1. Insert Cable: Carefully feed the end of the auger cable into the drain opening.
  2. Engage Auto-Feed: Press the auto-feed lever (if applicable) or manually push the cable into the pipe until it meets resistance, indicating the clog.
  3. Start Motor: Squeeze the trigger to start the motor. The cable will begin to rotate. Apply varying pressure to the trigger to adjust the speed as needed, up to 610 RPM.
  4. Clear Clog: While the cable is rotating, continue to feed it slowly into the pipe. The rotating cable will break up or hook the obstruction. If the cable gets stuck, release the trigger, pull back slightly, and then re-engage. Do not force the cable.
  5. Retract Cable: Once the clog is cleared and water begins to flow, reverse the auto-feed mechanism or manually retract the cable while the motor is still running to clean it as it comes out.
  6. Test Drain: Run water down the drain to ensure the clog is completely cleared. Repeat the process if necessary.
