5. Setup

  1. Attach Hose Adapters: Select the appropriate hose adapter for your application. The pump includes various sizes (1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" NPT) to ensure compatibility with standard hoses. Securely screw the chosen adapter onto the pump's discharge outlet.
  2. Connect Hose: Attach the provided 23ft lay-flat hose to the adapter. Use a hose clamp (not included, but recommended for a secure fit) to prevent leaks, especially with high-pressure discharge.
  3. Install Debris-Filtering Net: Place the debris-filtering net around the pump's intake area. This net helps prevent larger debris like leaves and hair from entering the pump, reducing the risk of clogging. Secure it firmly.
  4. Position the Pump: Place the pump in the area to be drained. Ensure the pump is stable and upright. The water level must be at least 2 3/8 inches (approximately 60 mm) above the pump's intake for proper operation. If using in a pit, ensure the pit has a minimum diameter of 8 inches.
  5. Route the Discharge Hose: Direct the discharge hose to a suitable drainage area, ensuring the water will not cause damage or re-enter the area being drained. The pump has a 25ft power cord, allowing for flexible placement without immediate need for extension cords.

6. Operation

  1. Submerge the Pump: Carefully lower the pump into the water. Ensure it is fully submerged and resting on a flat, stable surface. The water level must cover the intake for the pump to operate effectively.
  2. Connect to Power: Plug the 25ft power cord into a grounded 120V electrical outlet. The pump will begin operating immediately.
  3. Monitor Drainage: Observe the water flow from the discharge hose. The pump is designed for continuous operation until the water level drops below its intake.
  4. Automatic Shut-off (if applicable): This model does not feature an automatic float switch. Monitor the water level manually to prevent dry running.
  5. Disconnect Power: Once the desired water level is reached or the area is drained, unplug the pump from the power outlet.
  6. Remove Pump: Carefully lift the pump out of the water using its handle. Allow any remaining water to drain from the pump and hose.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your SEESII Submersible Water Pump.

  • Clean Filter Net: After each use, especially when pumping dirty water, remove and clean the debris-filtering net. Rinse off any accumulated debris, leaves, or hair.
  • Inspect Pump Intake: Periodically check the pump's intake area for any blockages or foreign objects that may have bypassed the filter net. Clear any obstructions carefully.
  • Inspect Hose and Adapters: Check the hose for kinks, tears, or leaks. Ensure all adapters are securely attached and free from damage.
  • Power Cord Inspection: Examine the power cord for any cuts, fraying, or damage. Do not use the pump if the cord is compromised.
  • Storage: When not in use, clean the pump thoroughly, drain all water, and store it in a dry, frost-free location.
