Operating Instructions

EQ Mode Switching

The KZ Axas earphones feature a built-in DSP with four distinct EQ modes, allowing you to optimize the sound profile for different content. These modes can be switched using the physical button on the inline control unit of the cable.

  • Music Mode: Provides a natural and balanced sound profile suitable for various music genres.
  • Gaming Mode (Dedicated Tuning): Enhances clarity and positional accuracy for in-game sounds, making footsteps and gunshots more distinct.
  • Spatial Audio Mode: Creates an expanded soundstage, emphasizing environmental sounds for a more immersive experience.
  • Bass Boost Mode: Amplifies low frequencies for a more impactful and powerful bass response.

To switch between EQ modes, press the dedicated button on the inline control. Each press will cycle through the available modes. A visual indicator (if present on the control unit) or an audible cue may confirm the mode change.

Microphone Usage

The M2 cable includes a dual microphone design with hardware-level AI noise cancellation for clear communication. One microphone is integrated into the inline control for general use, and another is positioned closer to the mouth for enhanced voice pickup during gaming.

  • Online Calls: The intelligent noise cancellation helps reduce background noise during voice calls.
  • Gaming Communication: The high-efficiency sound pickup ensures your voice is transmitted clearly to teammates.

Ensure the microphone is positioned appropriately for optimal voice clarity. Most devices will automatically select the earphone's microphone when connected.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning Ear Tips: Regularly remove the silicone ear tips and clean them with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching them to the earphones.
  • Cleaning Earphone Units: Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the earphone units. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Do not immerse the earphones in water.
  • Cable Care: Handle the cable gently. Avoid sharp bends, twists, or excessive pulling, which can damage the internal wires. When not in use, store the cable neatly to prevent tangling.
  • Storage: Store your earphones in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Using a carrying case can help protect them from dust and physical damage.
