Important Safety Instructions

Setup and First Use

- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired level (max 5 cups).
- Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Brewing with Whole Coffee Beans
- Open the top lid and add whole coffee beans to the bean hopper. Use the magnetic measuring spoon for accurate quantity.
- Adjust the grind coarseness using the selector dial inside the bean hopper. Options range from coarse (1-4) for pour-over, medium (5-8) for drip, to fine (9-12) for lattes.
- Ensure the filter basket is empty and correctly placed.
- Add water to the reservoir.
- Press the Power button, then select the 'Grind' option. The machine will grind the beans and then automatically begin the brewing process.
- Once brewing is complete, the machine will beep and enter the keep-warm mode.


Brewing with Pre-Ground Coffee
- Open the filter basket compartment and add your desired amount of pre-ground coffee to the reusable filter.
- Ensure the filter basket is securely closed.
- Add water to the reservoir.
- Press the Power button. The machine will begin the brewing process without grinding.
- Once brewing is complete, the machine will beep and enter the keep-warm mode.
Adjusting Brew Strength
The coffee maker features a 'Strength Mode' to customize your coffee's richness. After pressing the Power button, press the 'Strength' button to cycle through mild, medium, or strong options before brewing starts.

Keep-Warm Function
The warming plate automatically activates after brewing. To adjust the keep-warm duration (30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes), press and hold the 'Keep Warm' button until the display flashes, then cycle through the options. The default setting is 30 minutes.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the Filter Basket and Grinder
The filter basket and grinder components are detachable for easy cleaning.
- Pull up the filter basket compartment to remove it.
- Remove the reusable filter. Discard any used coffee grounds.
- Rinse the filter basket and reusable filter under running water. For thorough cleaning, the grinder mechanism can also be rinsed.

Cleaning the Carafe and Exterior
- Wash the glass carafe and its lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
- Descale the coffee maker periodically (e.g., monthly) using a descaling solution or a vinegar-water mixture to prevent mineral buildup. Follow the descaling product's instructions or run a brew cycle with a 1:2 vinegar-to-water solution, followed by several plain water cycles.
