4.2 Wire Mesh Installation
Unroll the dip-coated hexagonal wire mesh and attach it to the assembled frame using the provided zip ties. Ensure the mesh is taut and covers all open sides of the frame to prevent escapes and deter predators. Overlap edges where necessary for added security.
4.3 Door and Latch Installation
Install the walk-in door into the designated opening in the frame. Attach the escape-proof door latch mechanism, ensuring it operates smoothly and securely closes the door.

4.4 Cover Attachment
Drape the 420D Oxford fabric waterproof tarp over the dome roof frame. Secure the cover using the bungee cords, ensuring it is pulled taut to allow for proper water runoff and to prevent pooling. The cover provides protection from sun, rain, and snow.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Animal Placement
This coop is suitable for 8-12 chickens and can also house ducks, rabbits, geese, quails, cats, and small dogs. Ensure the number of animals is appropriate for the 13x10 ft (130 sq ft) space to allow them to roam freely and comfortably.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Regular Cleaning
Clean the coop regularly to maintain a hygienic environment for your animals. The wire mesh can be hosed down, and the cover can be wiped clean. Remove animal waste and old bedding frequently.
6.2 Inspection
Periodically inspect the entire structure for any signs of wear, damage, or loose components. Check the galvanized steel tubing for rust, the wire mesh for tears or holes, and the cover for rips. Ensure all bungee cords and zip ties are secure.
6.3 Cover Care
Ensure the waterproof tarp remains taut to prevent water from pooling, especially during heavy rain or snow. Pooling water can stress the frame and potentially lead to collapse. If necessary, adjust bungee cords or add additional support to the cover.
7. Troubleshooting
- Water Pooling on Cover: Ensure the cover is installed tightly and evenly across the dome roof. Adjust bungee cords to increase tension. If persistent, consider adding a central support under the cover to create a steeper slope for water runoff.
- Unstable Frame: Verify that all frame connections are fully tightened. Ensure ground stakes are firmly driven into the soil. If the ground is uneven, consider leveling the area before assembly.
- Wire Mesh Sagging or Loose: Re-secure loose sections of wire mesh with additional zip ties. Ensure the mesh is pulled taut during installation.
- Door Not Latching Securely: Check for any obstructions around the latch mechanism. Ensure the door frame is properly aligned. Adjust the latch components if necessary.
