Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your RYQIF Replacement Remote Control. This remote is specifically designed to be compatible with the Desobry 19 INCH TV with DVD Player, model TV191B-01. Please read these instructions carefully before use.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the remote control and must be purchased separately.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover downwards or press the latch (if present) to open the compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use (No Pairing Required)
This replacement remote control is designed for immediate use with the Desobry 19 INCH TV with DVD Player model TV191B-01. No programming or pairing is required. Once batteries are installed, the remote is ready to operate your device.

Operating Instructions
Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the infrared receiver on your Desobry TV. The optimal control distance is approximately 26 feet (8 meters).
Key Functions Overview:
- POWER: Turns the TV/DVD player on or off.
- MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the audio.
- OPEN/CLOSE: Opens or closes the DVD tray.
- FREEZE: Pauses the current video frame.
- INFO: Displays information about the current program or media.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Selects channels or enters numerical input.
- REC/TV: Switches between recording mode and TV mode.
- SOURCE: Selects input sources (e.g., HDMI, AV, DVD).
- SETUP: Accesses the system setup menu.
- Directional Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right) & OK: Navigates menus and confirms selections.
- MENU: Opens the main menu.
- EXIT: Exits the current menu or function.
- PICTURE: Adjusts picture settings.
- VOL +/-: Adjusts volume level.
- SOUND: Adjusts sound settings.
- CH +/-: Changes channels.
- MTS/AUDIO: Selects audio tracks or MTS (Multi-channel Television Sound).
- CC/SUBTITLE: Toggles closed captions or subtitles.
- EPG: Displays the Electronic Program Guide.
- FAV.LIST/C.LIST/D.MENU: Accesses favorite lists, channel lists, or DVD menu.
- USB: Switches to USB input mode.
- ANGLE: Changes camera angle during DVD playback.
- DVD: Switches to DVD mode.
- SLEEP: Sets the sleep timer.
- Playback Controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Next, Previous): Controls DVD and media playback.
- REPEAT: Repeats playback.
- A-B: Repeats a specific section of media.
- GOTO: Jumps to a specific time or chapter.
- TITLE: Accesses the DVD title menu.
- ZOOM: Zooms in or out on the screen.
- D.DISP: Digital Display function.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Remote Control
To maintain the remote control's appearance and functionality:
- Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the remote.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning pads, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes inconsistent or stops working. Always replace both AAA batteries at the same time with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to remove the batteries to prevent leakage, which can damage the remote control. Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your remote control, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the batteries with fresh AAA batteries.
- Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the TV's infrared sensor. Remove any obstructions.
- Make sure you are within the effective operating range (approximately 26 feet).
- Specific buttons not working:
- Clean the remote control, especially around the buttons, to ensure no debris is interfering with their function.
- If only a few buttons are unresponsive after checking batteries, the remote may be damaged and require replacement.
- Infrared signal interference:
- Bright light sources, such as direct sunlight or certain types of fluorescent lighting, can interfere with the infrared signal. Try operating the remote in a different lighting condition.
