3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the cooler from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or tapes.
- Inspect the cooler for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
3.2 Placement
- Place the cooler on a firm, level surface.
- Ensure there is sufficient space around the cooler (at least 20 cm) for proper air circulation.
- For optimal cooling, position the cooler near an open window or door to draw in fresh air.
3.3 Filling the Water Tank
- Locate the water inlet on the cooler.
- Open the water inlet cover.
- Fill the tank with clean water up to the 'MAX' mark on the water level indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the water inlet cover securely.

3.4 Connecting Power
- Ensure the cooler's control knobs are in the 'OFF' position.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
The HAVAI Thunder 17+ Desert Cooler features a user-friendly control panel.

4.1 Powering On and Fan Speed
- Turn the SPEED knob clockwise to select your desired fan speed: LOW, MED (Medium), or HI (High).
- To turn off the fan, rotate the SPEED knob to the OFF position.
4.2 Activating the Pump (Cooling Function)
- Ensure the water tank is filled to an adequate level.
- Turn the PUMP knob to the ON position to activate the water pump and begin the cooling process.
- Turn the PUMP knob to the OFF position to stop the pump.
4.3 Activating Auto Swing
- Turn the SWING knob to the ON position to activate the automatic oscillation of the louvers, distributing cool air evenly.
- Turn the SWING knob to the OFF position to stop the oscillation.
4.4 Adjusting Louvers
Manually adjust the vertical louvers on the front grille to direct airflow as desired.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your cooler.
5.1 Cleaning Honeycomb Pads
- Unplug the cooler from the power outlet.
- Carefully remove the back and side panels to access the honeycomb pads.
- Gently rinse the honeycomb pads under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Allow the pads to dry completely before reinserting them.
- Reattach the panels securely.
5.2 Cleaning the Water Tank
- Unplug the cooler.
- Locate the drain valve at the bottom of the cooler.
- Open the drain valve to empty the water tank.
- Clean the inside of the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent, if necessary. Rinse thoroughly.
- Close the drain valve.

5.3 Exterior Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the cooler with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.4 Storage
- Before storing, ensure the water tank is completely drained and the cooler is clean and dry.
- Store the cooler in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Use the power cord hooks to neatly store the power cord.
