1. Safety Information

4. Setup

Before first use, inspect the fuel tank for any signs of damage. Ensure all components are present and securely attached.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the fuel tank and all accessories from its packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check the tank body, cap, and nozzle for cracks, leaks, or manufacturing defects. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Attach Nozzle: Securely attach the transfer hose and nozzle to the tank's opening. Ensure a tight seal to prevent leaks.
  4. Familiarize: Understand the operation of the child-resistant cap and the anti-spill pouring mechanism before filling.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Filling the Tank

  1. Place the fuel tank on a flat, stable surface outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Unscrew the child-resistant cap by pressing down and turning counter-clockwise.
  3. Insert the fuel pump nozzle into the tank opening.
  4. Fill the tank slowly to avoid splashing. Do not fill completely; leave approximately 5% headspace for fuel expansion.
  5. Remove the pump nozzle and securely re-attach the child-resistant cap, ensuring it clicks into place.
  6. Wipe any spilled fuel immediately.

5.2 Dispensing Fuel

  1. Ensure the receiving equipment's fuel tank is clean and ready for fuel.
  2. Place the LAUCO fuel tank on a stable surface, ensuring it is higher than the receiving tank for gravity-assisted flow, if applicable.
  3. Remove the child-resistant cap.
  4. Position the nozzle into the receiving tank's opening.
  5. To start pouring, press the thumb-release mechanism on the nozzle (refer to Figure 5).
  6. Control the flow by adjusting the pressure on the release mechanism.
  7. To stop pouring, release the thumb-release mechanism. The anti-spill design will stop the flow.
  8. Once finished, remove the nozzle, and securely re-attach the child-resistant cap.

  • Emptying for Long-Term Storage: If storing for an extended period, it is recommended to empty the tank of fuel and store it clean and dry. Dispose of fuel according to local regulations.

7. Troubleshooting
