2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating welding and plasma cutting equipment. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death.
- Electric Shock: Welding and plasma cutting can cause fatal electric shock. Ensure proper grounding, wear dry gloves, and inspect cables for damage. Never work in wet conditions.
- Fumes and Gases: Welding and cutting produce fumes and gases that can be hazardous to health. Work in a well-ventilated area or use local exhaust ventilation. Keep your head out of the fumes.
- Arc Rays: Arc rays can burn eyes and skin. Wear a welding helmet with appropriate shade, safety glasses, and protective clothing (long sleeves, heavy gloves).
- Fire and Explosion: Sparks, hot slag, and hot metal can cause fires and explosions. Keep flammable materials away from the work area. Have a fire extinguisher readily available.
- Hot Parts: Hot parts can cause severe burns. Allow equipment to cool before handling.
- Noise: Excessive noise can damage hearing. Wear hearing protection.
- Compressed Gas Cylinders: Handle compressed gas cylinders with care. Secure them properly and use appropriate regulators.

4. Setup
4.1. Power Connection
- The machine supports dual voltage 110V/220V. Connect the appropriate power cord and conversion cable to a suitable power outlet.
- Ensure the power source matches the machine's requirements and is properly grounded.
4.2. Gas Connection (for MIG, TIG, CUT)
- Connect the black double-threaded gas hose to the machine's gas inlet and the appropriate gas cylinder (e.g., Argon for TIG, CO2/Argon mix for MIG).
- For plasma cutting, connect the transparent mesh gas hose to the air filter regulator, then to a compressed air source.
- Ensure all gas connections are secure and leak-free.
4.3. Torch and Ground Clamp Connection
- Connect the desired torch (MIG, TIG, or Plasma cutting torch) to its corresponding port on the machine.
- Connect the electrode holder (for Stick welding) or the MIG gun to the appropriate terminals.
- Attach the ground clamp to the workpiece, ensuring good electrical contact.
4.4. Wire Feed Setup (for MIG)
- Install the appropriate wire-feed roller for your chosen wire diameter.
- Load the welding wire into the machine, ensuring it feeds smoothly through the liner and into the MIG torch.
5. Operating Instructions
The TK-CT-418PRO offers five distinct welding and cutting processes. Select the appropriate mode and adjust parameters according to your material and application.

Figure 5: Visual representation of the five welding and cutting functions: MIG, Stick, TIG, Flux MIG, and Plasma Cut.
5.1. MIG Welding (Gas MIG / Gasless MIG)
- Synergic MIG: Use the intelligent one-knob control for automatic matching of voltage, current, and wire feed speed. This mode is ideal for beginners, providing stable, low-spatter welding.
- Manual MIG: For experienced welders, this mode allows full parameter adjustment of voltage, wire feed speed, and other settings to meet complex welding needs.
- The machine is aluminum MIG weldable and spool gun compatible (spool gun not included).
5.2. HF TIG Welding
- The High Frequency (HF) TIG technology provides non-contact arc ignition for instant, stable, and reliable arc starting.
- This reduces tungsten contamination and electrode loss, resulting in cleaner, smoother, and more precise welds on thin metal, stainless steel, and aluminum.
5.3. Stick (MMA) Welding
- Equipped with IGBT technology, Arc Force, Anti-Stick, and Hot Start features for improved performance.
- Supports cellulose electrodes 6011/6013/7018.

Figure 6: Features of the Intelligent MMA Welder, including IGBT Technology, Arc Force, Anti-Stick, and Hot Start.
5.4. Plasma Cutting
- Features High Frequency (HF) and 2T/4T functions.
- Output: 20-50A.
- Ideal Clean Cut: 5/16" (8mm) at 110V, 1/2" (12mm) at 220V.
- Maximum Cut: 1/2" (12mm) at 110V, 5/8" (16mm) at 220V.
- Uses compressed air for cutting various materials.
5.5. Applicable Materials
The machine is capable of working with a variety of metals.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your welding machine.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the machine's exterior and ventilation openings to prevent dust and debris buildup. Use dry, compressed air to blow out internal components if necessary (ensure power is disconnected).
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all cables, torches, and ground clamps for wear, cuts, or damage. Replace damaged components immediately.
- Air Filter Regulator: Check and clean the air filter regulator for the plasma cutter regularly to ensure proper airflow and prevent contamination.
- Wire Feed System: For MIG welding, inspect the wire feed rollers and liner for wear. Clean any debris from the wire path.
- Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean environment when not in use.
