Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens, PIR sensors, and IR LEDs with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality and proper sensor function. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Battery Care: Charge the 7800mAh battery fully before deployment. The optimal operating temperature range for the battery is -20°C to 60°C (-5°F to 140°F). Avoid exposing the camera to temperatures outside this range for prolonged periods.
- SD Card Management: Periodically format the SD card using the camera's menu or the app to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Always back up important files before formatting.
- Waterproof Design: The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating, protecting it from dust and strong jets of water. Ensure the battery compartment and all ports are securely closed to maintain water resistance, especially in wet conditions.
Troubleshooting
- Camera not powering on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check that the power switch is firmly in the ON position.
- No photos/videos captured:
- Verify the SD card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space. Check the camera's settings for trigger delay, sensitivity, and operating mode. Ensure the PIR sensors are not obstructed by vegetation or debris.
- Poor image/video quality:
- Clean the camera lens and IR LEDs with a soft cloth. Check the resolution settings in the camera menu or app. Ensure there are no obstructions directly in front of the camera.
- WiFi connection issues:
- Ensure the camera's WiFi is enabled. Move closer to the camera to improve signal strength. Restart both the camera and your smartphone's WiFi. Confirm you are connecting to the correct camera network as displayed in the app.
- Short battery life:
- Reduce the frequency of captures or video length in the settings. Minimize the use of WiFi connectivity, as it consumes more power. Consider using a compatible solar panel for continuous power in remote locations.
