Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Read all instructions before operating the toaster.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or toaster in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
• A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged in.
• Do not operate unattended.

Product Overview

The MiBoce 2-Slice Stainless Steel Toaster is designed for efficient and consistent toasting. It features two extra-long slots, a digital display, and multiple browning settings, along with convenient functions like Reheat, Defrost, and Cancel.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials like curtains. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
3. Cord Management: The power cord can be neatly stored at the bottom of the toaster using the integrated cord wrap. Extend only the necessary length for connection to a power outlet. The toaster features non-slip rubber feet for stability.
4. Initial Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (level 6) for one cycle. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

Operation

Basic Toasting

1. Insert Bread: Place up to two slices of bread into the baking slots. The slots are 4.2cm wide and 26cm long, suitable for various bread types and sizes.
2. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial (Figure 2) to your desired setting from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest). The digital display will show the selected level and estimated toasting time.
3. Start Toasting: Press the bread baking trough lever press down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the digital display will count down the remaining time.
4. Completion: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the bread will automatically rise from the slots.

The toaster offers 6 browning settings. The higher the setting, the darker the bread color. The integrated bread rack can be raised to warm croissants or other pastries.

Special Functions

• Cancel Function: Press the CANCEL button at any time to stop the toasting cycle and eject the bread.
• Reheat Function: To warm already toasted bread without further browning, place the bread in the slots, lower the lever, and press the REHEAT button. This cycle typically lasts for 30 seconds.
• Defrost Function: To toast frozen bread, place the bread in the slots, lower the lever, and press the DEFROST button. This function adds extra time to the toasting cycle to thaw the bread before browning.

Using the Bread Roll Baking Rack

The toaster includes a built-in bread roll baking rack. To use it, gently push the lever on the side of the toaster upwards until the rack is fully extended. Place croissants, pastries, or other items on the rack for warming. Do not place items directly into the toasting slots when the rack is in use. Lower the rack when not needed.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

1. Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
2. Empty Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster (Figure 1, item 6). Discard accumulated crumbs. The crumb tray is washable. Clean it with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reinserting.

3. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish. Dry thoroughly.
4. Never Immerse: Never immerse the toaster body, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.

Troubleshooting

• Toaster does not turn on:
  • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Check your household circuit breaker or fuse box.
  • Ensure the bread lever is fully pressed down and locked into place.
• Bread is unevenly toasted:
  • The toaster features an auto-centering system. Ensure bread slices are placed centrally in the slots.
  • Different types of bread (e.g., fresh vs. stale, thick vs. thin) may toast differently. Adjust the browning setting accordingly.
• Smoke coming from toaster:
  • Immediately press the CANCEL button and unplug the toaster.
  • This is often caused by crumbs accumulating in the bottom of the toaster. Clean the crumb tray thoroughly.
  • Ensure no foreign objects are in the toasting slots.
• Bread stuck in toaster:
  • Unplug the toaster from the power outlet.
  • Carefully remove the bread using non-metallic utensils (e.g., wooden tongs). Never use metal objects.
