8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your remote control, try the following:

  • Remote Not Responding: Check the battery. Ensure it is a fresh 12V A23 battery and inserted with correct polarity.
  • Fan Not Responding: Ensure the fan's power is on at the wall switch. Re-attempt the programming steps (Section 5).
  • Light Not Dimming: Verify the slide switch inside the battery compartment is set to 'Incandescent (DIM)' mode for dimmable bulbs. If using CFL/LED bulbs, ensure they are dimmable and the switch is set correctly.
  • Interference: Radio frequency interference can sometimes affect remote operation. Try moving closer to the fan or checking for other RF devices nearby.

9. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your remote control:

  • Keep the remote control dry and clean. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the remote to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Replace the battery annually or when the remote's range decreases.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the remote control, as this may void the warranty.
