This device is designed to provide reliable internet connectivity using a 4G LTE SIM card, converting cellular signals into Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet for various applications including home, RV, travel, and small office environments.
The router features a Quectel EC25AFXDGA LTE Cat4 module, offering download speeds up to 150Mbps and upload speeds up to 50Mbps. It supports Wi-Fi N300 (802.11 b/g/n) with 2T2R MIMO for wireless speeds up to 300Mbps. The device includes multiple LAN ports, a WAN port, USB 2.0, and a TF card slot for expanded functionality.

3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Hardware Installation
- Attach Antennas: Carefully screw the two 2.4G Wi-Fi antennas and two 4G LTE antennas into their respective connectors on the router. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten.
- Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the router. Insert your standard large-format AT&T or T-Mobile compatible SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. If your SIM card is a smaller size (Nano or Micro), use the provided SIM card adapter.

- Connect Power: Connect the provided 12V/1A power adapter to the DC input port on the router and then plug it into a power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
- (Optional) Connect Ethernet Devices: For wired connections, connect your computer, smart TV, or gaming console to any of the four LAN ports (LAN1-LAN4) using an Ethernet cable. If you have an existing wired internet connection you wish to use as a primary source, connect it to the WAN port.

3.2 Initial Configuration
After hardware installation, configure the router via its web interface:
- Connect to Router: Connect your computer to the router via Wi-Fi (look for the default SSID printed on the router label) or via an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports.
- Access Web Dashboard: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
- Login: Enter the default username root and password admin.
- Configure Settings: Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your internet connection (APN settings for your SIM card may be required, consult your carrier if unsure), Wi-Fi name (SSID), and password. It is recommended to change the default login password for security.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 4G LTE Connectivity
Once your SIM card is inserted and configured, the router will automatically connect to the 4G LTE network. The LED indicators on the router will show the status of the 4G connection. Ensure your SIM card has an active data plan compatible with the router's supported bands (B2/B4/B5/B12/B17/B29/B30/B66 for LTE-FDD and B2/B4/B5 for WCDMA).
4.2 Wi-Fi Network Usage
Connect your wireless devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) to the router's Wi-Fi network using the SSID and password you configured during setup. The router provides 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) with speeds up to 300Mbps.

4.3 Advanced Features
- USB 2.0 and TF Card Slot: The router includes a USB 2.0 port and a TF (microSD) card slot. You can connect a USB drive or memory card to create a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) server. Files can be shared over Wi-Fi using SAMBA or FTP protocols, allowing access to media, documents, and backups from any device on your network.
- OpenWrt Compatibility: For advanced users, the router is fully compatible with OpenWrt firmware. This allows for custom firewall rules, VLAN configurations, policy routing, and other advanced network controls. - Hardware Watchdog: A built-in hardware watchdog automatically reboots the router if the system freezes, ensuring continuous operation and reliability.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Firmware Updates
Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Keeping your router's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features. For OpenWrt upgrades, refer to the specific instructions provided with the upgrade kit.
5.2 Cleaning
To maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating, ensure the router's ventilation holes are clear of dust and obstructions. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
5.3 Environmental Considerations
The router is designed to operate in a wide temperature range (-20 to 60 degrees C / -4 to 140F), making it suitable for various environments. However, avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight, extreme humidity, or corrosive substances. Ensure adequate ventilation around the router.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Zbtlink 4G LTE Router.
6.1 No Internet Connection
- Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active data plan. Verify that the SIM card is compatible with AT&T or T-Mobile networks and the router's supported bands.
- APN Settings: Log into the web dashboard (192.168.1.1) and verify that the Access Point Name (APN) settings are correctly configured for your cellular carrier. These settings are often provided by your carrier.
- Signal Strength: Check the 4G signal strength indicators on the router or in the web interface. If the signal is weak, try repositioning the router or adjusting the 4G antennas.
- WAN Connection: If using the WAN port for wired internet, ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected and your primary internet source is active.
6.2 Weak or Unstable Wi-Fi Signal
- Antenna Position: Adjust the two 2.4G Wi-Fi antennas for optimal signal coverage.
- Router Placement: Place the router in a central location, away from obstructions (thick walls, metal objects) and sources of interference (microwaves, cordless phones).
- Channel Interference: In the web dashboard, try changing the Wi-Fi channel to a less congested one.
6.3 Router Not Responding / Freezing
- Power Cycle: Disconnect the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, and then reconnect it.
- Hardware Watchdog: The built-in hardware watchdog should automatically reboot the router if it freezes. If this does not occur, a manual power cycle is necessary.
6.4 Resetting the Router
- Factory Reset: To restore the router to its factory default settings, locate the REST button (often recessed) on the router. With the router powered on, use a paperclip or a thin object to press and hold the REST button for approximately 10 seconds until the LED indicators flash. Release the button, and the router will reboot with default settings.
- Firmware Rescue Mode: If the router encounters a firmware issue, you can enter rescue mode by long-pressing the REST button while powering on the device. This allows for flashing new firmware.
