5. Setup

5.1 Assembly

The lawn mower requires minimal assembly. Follow the instructions provided in the separate assembly guide or the quick start guide included in your package. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are securely tightened before operation.

5.2 Battery Charging and Installation

Your mower is powered by two 20V 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries. Always fully charge batteries before first use.

1. Charging: Connect the dual-port charger to a standard power outlet. Insert both 20V 4.0Ah batteries into the charger. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status. Charge until fully indicated.
2. Installation: Open the battery compartment cover on the mower. Slide each fully charged battery into its designated slot until it clicks into place. Ensure both batteries are securely seated. Close the battery compartment cover.
3. Removal: To remove batteries, press the release tabs on each battery and pull them out of the compartment.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting the Mower

The mower features a 2-step safety start mechanism.

1. Ensure batteries are installed and the grass bag (if used) is attached.
2. Press and hold the safety button located on the handle.
3. While holding the safety button, pull the bail switch (handle bar) towards you. The motor will start.
4. Release the safety button, but continue to hold the bail switch to keep the mower running.
5. To stop the mower, release the bail switch.

6.2 Adjusting Cutting Height

The mower offers 5 cutting height settings from 1.4 inches (35mm) to 3 inches (75mm).

To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired position. Ensure the lever locks securely into place before operating the mower.

6.3 Mowing Techniques (2-in-1 Functionality)

• Rear Bagging: Attach the 11-gallon grass collection bag to the rear discharge chute. The mower will collect grass clippings into the bag. Empty the bag when it is full to maintain optimal collection performance.

• Mulching: To mulch, ensure the rear discharge chute is closed (mulching plug installed, if applicable, or simply remove the grass bag and close the flap). The mower will cut grass clippings into fine pieces and redistribute them back onto the lawn as natural fertilizer.

For best results, mow when the grass is dry. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower. Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.

• Cleaning: After each use, clean the mower deck and exterior with a damp cloth. Remove any grass clippings or debris from the blade area and vents. Do not use water hoses or high-pressure washers directly on the mower.
