Introduction

The CARROSELF Smart Pill Dispenser System is designed to simplify your daily medication routine. This comprehensive system helps you organize, track, and manage up to four daily doses of medication. It is suitable for individuals who require consistent medication schedules, including seniors, busy adults, chronic patients, caregivers, pregnant women, frequent travelers, and active adults.

The system includes a Smart Pill Dispenser, a portable To-Go Box with a built-in pill cutter, and four additional refillable cartridges. An optional mobile application is available to provide digital reminders, further enhancing consistency and preventing missed doses.

Setup

1. Filling the Cartridges

1. To access the inner cells for filling, twist the rings on the top of the Smart Pill Dispenser to the 'Fill' position.
2. Carefully slide out the individual cartridges from the dispenser.
3. Load your prescribed pills into the designated compartments within each cartridge. The dispenser has 28 cells, supporting various dosing schedules. Note that the dispenser is designed for daily medications and may not be suitable for oversized vitamins or large supplement capsules.
4. Once filled, slide the cartridges back into the dispenser.
5. Twist the rings back to the 'Close' position to secure the cartridges.

2. Personalizing Dosing Schedules

The system includes labeling stickers to customize your dosing schedule. You can set the dispenser for:

• One Week Supply (4 doses/day): Label for Morning, Noon, Evening, Night.
• Two Week Supply (2 doses/day): Label for Morning Week 1, Evening Week 1, Morning Week 2, Evening Week 2.
• Four Week Supply (1 dose/day): Label for Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4.

Apply the appropriate stickers to the dispenser's rotating rings to match your desired schedule. You can also write your name or other identifiers on the designated area.

3. Mobile App Setup (Optional)

Download the CARROSELF mobile application from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to set up personalized medication reminders. This feature helps maintain consistency and prevents missed doses.

Operating Instructions

1. Dispensing Pills

1. Identify the current day and dose (e.g., Morning, Evening) on the dispenser's rotating rings.
2. Twist the top rings of the dispenser to align the desired dose with the opening.
3. Once aligned, the inner cell containing your pills for that specific dose will be accessible.
4. Remove the outer white cap from the bottom of the dispenser to access the pills.
5. After taking your pills, replace the outer white cap and twist the rings back to the 'Close' position to secure the remaining medication.

2. Using the To-Go Box

The portable To-Go Box is designed for convenient medication management while traveling. It features multiple compartments and a built-in pill cutter.

• Open the To-Go Box to reveal the compartments.
• Place the pills you need for your trip into the appropriate compartments.
• To use the pill cutter, place a pill in the designated cutting area and close the lid firmly.
• Close the To-Go Box securely before travel.

3. Monitoring Pill Intake

The transparent design of the inner cartridges allows for visual monitoring of your pill intake, helping you keep track of which doses have been taken and which remain.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the dispenser and To-Go Box with a damp cloth. For the inner cartridges, remove them and wash with mild soap and water. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling and refilling.
• Storage: Store the dispenser in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Handle the dispenser with care to prevent damage to the rotating mechanism and internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Pills getting stuck: If pills are consistently getting stuck, ensure they are not oversized for the compartments. Gently shake the dispenser while rotating to dislodge them. Consider cutting larger pills with the included pill cutter if necessary.
• Difficulty rotating or opening: Ensure the dispenser is not overfilled. Check for any debris or foreign objects obstructing the rotation mechanism. If the outer cap is difficult to slide, ensure it is aligned correctly.
• Missed doses: Utilize the optional mobile reminder app to set up consistent alerts for your medication schedule. Regularly check the visual indicator on the dispenser to confirm doses have been taken.
