Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended. If you are not familiar with electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician.

  1. Turn Off Power: Before starting any electrical work, ensure the power supply to the junction box is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare Mounting: Attach the mounting crossbar to the junction box using the provided screws.
  3. Adjust Chain Length: Determine the desired hanging length for your fixture. Use two pliers to open a link on the chain and remove excess links to achieve the desired height. Route the electrical wires through every third link of the chain.
  4. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the green ground screw on the mounting crossbar, then connect it to the house ground wire.
    • Connect the black (hot) wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Ensure all wire nuts are securely fastened.
  5. Mount Canopy: Carefully tuck the wires into the junction box. Raise the canopy to the ceiling and secure it to the mounting crossbar with the provided screws or nuts.
  6. Install Bulb: Insert an E26 base bulb (max 100W, not included) into the socket.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
