Maintenance
- Base Fluid Level: Regularly check the water or sand level in the base. Refill as necessary to maintain stability. In freezing temperatures, use sand or add antifreeze to water to prevent cracking.
- Cleaning: Clean the backboard and pole with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
- Hardware Inspection: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware to ensure structural integrity.
- Net Replacement: Replace the net if it becomes worn or damaged to ensure continued playability.
- Storage: If storing the hoop for an extended period, especially during winter, consider draining the water from the base (if applicable) and storing it in a sheltered area to prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
- Hoop Instability: Ensure the base is completely filled with water or sand. Check that all pole sections are securely connected and all bolts are tightened.
- Difficulty Adjusting Height: Loosen the adjustment knobs completely before attempting to raise or lower the backboard. Ensure the internal mechanism is free of obstructions.
- Damaged Net: The net is replaceable. Contact customer support for a replacement net.
