4. Setup and Installation

The VOUNOT Vertical Awning is designed for no-drill installation using a telescopic clamping system. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

4.1. Prepare the Installation Area

• Choose a suitable location on your balcony or terrace with a stable floor and ceiling/overhead structure.
• Ensure the installation area is clean and free from obstructions.
• Measure the height between the floor and the overhead structure to confirm it is within the awning's adjustable range (220-310 cm).

4.2. Assemble the Poles

1. Connect the upper and lower sections of the aluminum poles. Ensure they are securely joined.
2. Attach the top pressure plate to the top of the upper pole section.
3. Attach the adjustable base feet to the bottom of the lower pole section.

4.3. Attach the Awning Fabric and Crank

1. Slide the awning fabric onto the roller tube, ensuring it is correctly oriented.
2. Attach the crank mechanism to the designated connection point on the pole.
3. Insert the guide eyelet onto the pole to ensure the fabric rolls smoothly.

4.4. Position and Secure the Awning

1. Place the assembled awning in the desired position.
2. Extend the telescopic poles by rotating them until the top pressure plate firmly presses against the overhead structure and the base feet are firmly on the ground.
3. Adjust the base feet up to 3 cm if the floor surface is slightly uneven to ensure maximum stability.
4. Ensure the awning is vertical and stable. The clamping system should hold it securely without drilling.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Extending the Awning

• Turn the crank handle clockwise to lower and extend the awning fabric.
• Extend the awning to your desired height for optimal sun protection and privacy.

5.2. Retracting the Awning

• Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to raise and retract the awning fabric.
• Retract the awning fully when not in use or during strong winds to prevent damage.
