4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation and Charging

  3. Close the battery compartment securely.
  4. Connect the included USB-C data cable to the device's USB-C port and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer). The device will begin charging.
  5. Allow the batteries to fully charge before first use.

4.2. Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power Button until the display illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button until the device shuts down.

4.3. Adjusting Eyepieces and Focus

  1. Interpupillary Distance (IPD): Adjust the distance between the eyepieces by moving the barrels of the binoculars until you see a single, clear circular field of view.
  2. Diopter Adjustment: Look through the binoculars at a distant object. Close your right eye and rotate the left eyepiece's diopter adjustment ring until the image is sharp. Then, close your left eye and rotate the right eyepiece's diopter adjustment ring until the image is sharp.
  3. Focus Ring: Use the central focus ring to fine-tune the image sharpness for objects at varying distances.

5. Operating the Binox 6 Dual

5.1. Viewing Modes

The Binox 6 Dual offers multiple viewing modes for various conditions:

  • Day Mode (4K UHD): Provides full-color, high-definition imaging in daylight.
  • Night Mode (IR-assisted 4K UHD): Utilizes the built-in IR illuminator for clear black-and-white vision in low light or complete darkness.
  • Twilight Mode: Optimized for low-light conditions before full darkness.
  • Thermal Mode: Detects heat signatures, providing clear images in various thermal color palettes, effective in smoke, fog, or total darkness.

Switch between these modes using the dedicated mode button or through the device's menu.

5.2. Dual-View Switching

The Dual-View Switching technology allows simultaneous display of both the digital (day/night) and thermal images on the screen. This feature can be configured to show thermal in a Picture-in-Picture window while maintaining the main view in digital, or vice-versa, providing enhanced situational awareness.
