Compatibility Notes
- This motor is only compatible with INJORA MBL32 ESC and QuicRun Mini24 ESC. It is not compatible with other Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs).
- Compatible with both stock SCX24 transmission and INJORA metal transmission.
- For installation in a stock SCX24 chassis, the ESC tray may require trimming to properly fit the motor.
- The 1721 Gold Viper motor is optimized for rigs weighing under 700g. For heavier rigs, a motor with stronger drag brake performance, such as the 2204 Fat Viper, is recommended.
Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your INJORA Gold Viper 1721 Brushless Motor:
- Prepare the Chassis: If using a stock SCX24 chassis, carefully trim the ESC tray as necessary to create sufficient space for the new motor.
- Attach Motor Mount: Secure the provided motor mount to your vehicle's transmission.
- Install Motor: Mount the INJORA Gold Viper 1721 Brushless Motor onto the motor mount. Ensure the pinion gear aligns correctly with the transmission's main gear.
- Connect ESC: Connect the motor's PH2.0 3-Pin connector to a compatible ESC (INJORA MBL32 or QuicRun Mini24). Ensure connections are secure.
- Secure Wiring: Utilize the protective sleeve at the motor's wire outlet to prevent damage to the wires during operation. Route all wiring neatly and securely to avoid interference with moving parts.

Operating Guidelines
- Battery Recommendation: For optimal performance and smoother low-speed control, 3S batteries are highly recommended.
- Performance Characteristics: This motor delivers smooth and linear control at low speeds, transitioning to powerful and aggressive performance at high speeds.
- Normal Operation Noise: Some noise at mid-throttle is a normal characteristic of the 1721 motor due to its high-speed, open-rotor design. This does not indicate a defect.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and consistent performance of your motor, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Keep Clean: Regularly inspect and clean the motor to remove dirt, dust, and debris that can accumulate during operation. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Check Connections: Periodically verify that all electrical connections, especially the PH2.0 3-Pin connector, are secure and free from corrosion.
- Inspect Wiring: Ensure the motor wires and their protective sleeve are intact and not frayed or damaged.
- Avoid Overheating: Monitor motor temperature during extended use. Excessive heat can reduce motor lifespan.
Troubleshooting
- Motor produces noise at mid-throttle.
- This is a normal characteristic for the 1721 motor due to its high-speed, open-rotor design and does not indicate a defect.
- Motor not performing as expected (e.g., weak drag brake).
- Ensure your rig's weight is under 700g. For heavier setups, a motor designed for stronger drag brake performance (e.g., 2204 Fat Viper) is recommended.
- Motor not functioning or inconsistent operation.
- Verify that the motor is connected to a compatible ESC (INJORA MBL32 or QuicRun Mini24). Check all electrical connections for looseness or damage.
