4. Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and security of your Tyenaza smart door lock. It is recommended to consult a professional if you are unsure about any steps. 4.1 Pre-installation Checks

  • Ensure your door thickness and bore hole dimensions are compatible with the lock.

4.2 Lock Core Installation

Install the lock core into the door edge. Ensure it is aligned correctly and secured with screws.

4.3 Handle Unit Installation

Mount the external and internal handle units, connecting the necessary cables through the door. Secure them with the provided screws.

4.4 Battery Installation

The power supply battery is installed on the inner lock handle. Unscrew the back cover of the inner lock handle with a screwdriver to access the battery compartment. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Replace the cover and secure it with screws.

5. Setup

After physical installation, proceed with the initial setup of your smart lock.

5.1 Initial Power On

Once batteries are installed, the lock will power on. Follow any voice prompts or visual indicators for initial setup.

5.2 Tuya App Connection

The lock supports WiFi connectivity via the Tuya App. Download the Tuya App from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new smart lock. This typically involves creating an account, selecting the device type, and pairing the lock with your home WiFi network.

5.3 Administrator Setup

The first fingerprint, PIN code, or RFID card registered will typically be designated as the administrator. The administrator has full control over lock settings, including adding and deleting other users.

5.4 User Registration

Register fingerprints, PIN codes, and RFID cards for authorized users through the administrator menu on the lock or via the Tuya App. The lock supports up to 50 fingerprints and 250 sets of fingerprints, passwords, and cards.

6. Operating Instructions

The Tyenaza 5050 lock offers multiple convenient ways to unlock your door.

6.1 Fingerprint Unlocking

  1. Place your registered finger flat on the semiconductor fingerprint sensor.
  2. The lock will verify your fingerprint. A successful verification will unlock the door.

6.2 PIN Code Unlocking

  1. Enter your 8-digit registered PIN code on the touch keypad.
  2. Press the '#' key to confirm. A successful entry will unlock the door.
  3. Anti-Peeping Function: You can enter random digits before and after your actual PIN code (up to 16 digits total) to prevent others from guessing your code. For example, if your PIN is 12345678, you can enter 98712345678654.

6.3 RFID Card Unlocking

  1. Present your registered RFID card to the IC card reader area on the lock.
  2. The lock will read the card. A successful read will unlock the door.

6.4 Mechanical Key Unlocking (Emergency Access)

  1. Locate the invisible keyhole on the external handle unit.
  2. Insert one of the provided mechanical keys and turn it to unlock the door.

6.5 Tuya App Unlocking

  1. Open the Tuya App on your smartphone.
  2. Select your smart lock from the device list.
  3. Tap the 'Unlock' button within the app interface.
  4. The app also allows for sharing guest access rights and viewing activity history.

6.6 Locking the Door

The lock will automatically re-lock after a set period (configurable in the app or lock settings) or can be manually locked from the inside by lifting the handle or using the internal knob/button, depending on the specific model configuration.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your smart door lock.

7.1 Battery Replacement

The lock will provide a low voltage alarm when the battery level drops to 4.8±0.2V. Replace all four AA batteries promptly to avoid loss of functionality. Always use new, high-quality alkaline AA batteries. Refer to section 4.4 for battery installation instructions.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Keep the fingerprint sensor and keypad clean for optimal performance.

7.3 Emergency Power

If the batteries completely drain before replacement, you can use a Type-C 5V 2A power bank to temporarily power the lock via the emergency power port for access.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lock not responding:
    • Check battery level. Replace batteries if low.
    • Use the emergency Type-C power port or mechanical key for access.
  • Fingerprint not recognized:
    • Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
    • Place your finger flat on the sensor, covering the entire area.
    • Try re-registering your fingerprint if the issue persists.
  • PIN code not working:
    • Ensure you are entering the correct 8-digit PIN code.

  • RFID card not working:
